New Zealand maybe, Iceland definitely not. Iceland is so ethnically and culturally homogenous that a Korean immigrant would feel really odd there. He'd be the only non-pale person there and get all the other racial issues that comes with that.

New Zealand is great. Traveled through the S. Island for three months. If you love the outdoors and a 'green' lifestyle, there are so many hiking trails, rivers, lakes, outdoor sports to do. Relatively diverse population with a significant Asian expat community in the larger cities. Culturally, it's somewhat like Ireland but a little more laid back. People get excited about their rugby and sailing. You'll be away from the politics --- violent crime rate is low. Business opportunity there is slim, although the tech and entertainment industries are picking up -- textiles and natural resources still are the largest industries. Also, taxes are high, and the standard of living is lower than the states -- you won't be able to afford the two stories homes like you have here.. but then again, if you value a peaceful life, it's a great great place to live.
