Who are some of the undrafted players you guys felt should of been drafted? I felt some of the guys in the draft...well, weren't draft worthy. What do you guys think?

Aaron Maghee, DeAngelo Collins, Smush Parker that guy who just got out of prison (Benson?) were all thought to be second round slections, but ended up undrafted.

McGhee, Collins, Parker, Benson, Haslem and Cooke are probably the best undrafted players.

McGhee definitely should have been drafted. Sacramento was stupid for not taking him.

Collins sucks, he couldn't even dominate against good HS players

Cooke-I feel bad for him, he had no choice but to enter, and can't go to the NBDL because of his age. Hopefully someone picks him up, he was the #1 player in his class

Benson-Say hi to the NBDL, a tweener who shouldn't have been drafter

    Haslem-See above

Smush-Should've been picked up, definitely over overrated Frank Williams

We threw out some names in this thread.

I think Predrag Savovic and Aaron McGhee were the best players not drafted.

Some that were decent college players but probably deserved not to be drafted: Marvin O'Connor, Trevor Huffman, and Luke Recker.

The two players that Yao Ming worked out with in Chicago both went undrafted Chris Cristofferson and DeAngelo Collins I think.

Why can't Cooke go to the NBDL? He was like 20 and still in H.S.

Cooke's 20??? I thought he was "unofficially" 18, but really 20. There is an age restriction for the NBDL, but if he's admitting that he's 20 then he'll probably be able to go. Anyone know what the age restriction is. I'm thinking either 20 or 22, but Omar Cook went there so probably 20...

How about Preston Shumpert (Syracuse) for our backup SG position?

I say we take a look at Benson for sure. We should sign him as our backup center and trade Cato for cash or a pizza or whatever the deals were going around for Cato. We know Benson will play with fire nad he won't have a lack of motivation. I also think we should look at that Savovich guy. He seems like a pretty good shooter and someone is going to get a pleasant surprise by his production when they pick him up.

Not that I want him, but I think Lazaros Papadopolis should've been drafted. Not that he's got awesome skills or anything, but he's big, and he may be able to step in on occasion for a few minutes.

Not much room on this team but I would sure like to see someone take a chance on this guy. Rolan Roberts from Southern Illinois University. He's a 6'6 250 power foward. Stats are a bit deceiving. Sort of a Tractor Trailer type guy who always seems to be in the right place at the right time. Loved his hustle during the NCAA tournament. SIU never makes it to the Big Dance, but actually upset a couple teams before getting knocked out.

Benson only measured out at 6'8" (or 6'6", but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt) at the pre-draft camp, ending any speculation he might be able to play PF/C.

Savovic would be a decent pickup for any team, though. He won't bring much - he's got a game (and look) similar to Eric Piatkowski - but with a premium on shooting in the league, if you have the players to draw double teams and penetrate to the hole, you'll have a desire for a three point shooter.
