Absolutely unbelievable. More brilliant play design by Rudy. I don't even know why Collier was playing during the fourth quarter in the first place. Cato was doing a great job, and he wasn't giving up constant layups to Bonzi Wells. Way to take away all those good feelings from last night's win, Rudy.
Damn it, Collier's at best an NBDL backup. He can make shots (very few), but he can't use his body to play a lick of defense. Great job, Rockets, of getting the ball to someone even a smidge dependable.
It was a good shot attempt, just to the last guy you'd want taking a final shot. It was better than last night's Mobley "shot".
You guys are joking right! You could not be under the impression that the team wanted to win. Last night was enough. Have you guys lost sight of the prize. For me, the night was perfect. Back ups got some good time, Indiana won, Toronto won, and we lose. I can sleep good tonight.
Tell me the next time Collier drops 20 or 30 points, then I'll cut him the slack I cut Mobley. I'll take Mobley or Francis taking a last second shot any time, any place, under in circumstances in any universe over Jason Collier! I like JC, but come on use common sense! As for that play, friends don't let friends drink and coach!
its ok...a higher pick for us. this game doesnt matter. tho i really would like the rockets to win EVERY GAME it doesnt matter anymore. we played a spoiler role last nite and it was fun. its time to develop our young guys, and collier is a guy well be stuck with for at least next season, maybe more. why not see what hes got...we have nothing to lose
Why not put Collier, Langhi and the rest under pressure situations and see what they can do??? Does it really matter? Either you want the Rockets to tank or you don't. os

Thumbs up for the effort the Rockets gave, and another thumbs up for Collier having the testoserone to take the shot. I wish for his sake he would have made it, but I'm sort of relieved we are still "ahead" of Cleveland.
I think what everyone should be asking is why didn't they call a timeout and design a solid play instead of what happend.
But, I would argue that what happened WAS a solid play. I mean, they penetrated and got a wide open look for a decent outside shooter. The same thing happened last night in Dallas and Griffin knocked it down. I can recall plenty of games where Horry or Elie or Maxwell or Smith or Cassell or Scott Brooks or Winston Garland or Matt Bullard or Eddie Johnson...etc...were given the same chances. The point is to hit the open man and have him knock down the shot. The Rockets did that. Collier missed. End of story.
I called that play from the stands. That exact play worked at about the two minute mark to tie the game, and it's not a bad play. That's honestly one of the things Collier was drafted to do. After Collier set the pick, the play was designed for Stevie, but if the defense doubles Collier is left open near the top of the key. He missed; it happens. However, he's usually a reliable shooter from the mid-range area, and it was definitely a better percentage shot than some of the others we've taken this year. It's not like this was a game that decided the season. This was a game at the end of a losing season, and it's good to try something different. I liked the play call, but the shot just didn't go in. It happens. By the way, ZRB, what game did you watch tonight? I went to the game, and I was absolutely appalled and livid at the lack of effort Cato showed down low. Collier may not bring a lot of defense either, but at least he has the capability of dropping a midrange jumper now and then. That's why I actually liked Rudy leaving him in the game. If you want to blame someone for Wells' last second basket, blame his defender. Big men can't just camp out under the basket and wait for the shot, you know.
