so we go from one of the best records in the league to a 42% win percentage if we're below .300... thats a pretty substantial swing... factor in how many of those sub .300 wins come from bottom dweller/tanking teams who couldnt win if they were the only team on the court...
I am not concerned until we meet them in the final. The priority now is to get good seedings while being fully healthy.
I have faith that the Rockets will bounce back. I think the focus from here on is trying to hold the #3 spot and most importantly remain healthy. Need to beat the Nuggets I think I would rather the Jazz than Clippers but I think we can beat either. A Track through the playoffs of Jazz --> Nuggets --> Warriors leaving the Warriors to go Spurs --> Blazers --> Rockets The Warriors not having their usual cake walk but the Injury to Nurkic helps them IMO Rocket River
So in the rare occurrence of us actually shooting that badly happens we still win over 40% of the time. So we don’t REALLY live and die by the 3. And it’s not anywhere near an auto L.
Regardless, it was something "new," in that barely anyone plays that way. But because it was successful to a degree, last night, more teams might implement something like this against Harden. So MDA and Harden still need to adapt.
That's why I'm not concerned myself. We was actually shooting quite well in the first half. The only reason they were up by 5 in the first half was because we gave them at least 8 stupid points from turnovers, which gave them huge momentum. I can see why Harden had 1-9 from the 3pt line. He had 2 shooting fouls on the 3pt that wasn't given. Another one he had to shoot from really deep because there was only 1 second on the shot clock. He just didn't have open good looks for the other ones. Gordon and Tucker had no excuses, because their shots were standing open looks for the most parts.
