i really like both teams so i'll be happy no matter who wins, but since i have illinois in my bracket, i have to go for them.
Boy was I off the mark for the Semifinal games! I just don't see how Illinois can win. They don't have the horses to keep up with UNC. Did anyone else notice Saturday night how UNC seemed to be coasting, then flipped a switch in the second half and ran away with it? I see them doing the same thing tonight. UNC - 88 Illinois - 72
RMT- The issue will be if UNC CAN run. Ill play excellent half-court offense, so can UNC play D like they did in the 2nd half of the MSU game? If not, they won't be able to run. The only weakness UNC has, I believe, is mental. I'm still picking UNC!
north carolina's talent (both basketball- and athleticism-wise) is disgusting. but somehow they lost 4 games this year and illinois only lost 1. if the intensity of the tournament makes them stay focused for all 40 mintues, then no one can keep up with them. but we'll have to see if they stay focused. while they did seem to turn it on against msu (and i love watching teams just flip the switch and impose their will) they might be 10 or 15 down to Ill by the time they flip the switch if they don't watch out. i'm just hoping for an epic game.

awww man billy packer instead of bill raftery? i love raftery (sp?). all his little sayings, the enthusiasm, he's impartial, seems to get the game of today. all of the good of dick vitale with none of the bad. though they just said nantz and packer are doing their 15th striaght championship game so i guess i shouldn't have been surprised. and what's wrong with 172? UNC is the highest scoring team in the nation and illinois doesn't slow it down a bunch or anything. they might have to work at it but 172 shouldn't be that hard to do. so if Illinois wins then i finish 3rd in the clutchfans group. if they win 91-84 then y'all are my b****es regardless of position.
No way. It'll probably be around 155-160. Hope I'm wrong. A lot of teams choke up in the final game and can't hit their shots. I have to pray for double overtime.
