Work for free? What a silly notion as there is a balance somewhere to be met. We already subsidize food. After thousands of years of food shortages and famine we ensure we have an oversupply of food. Transportation? Going back to the railroads, transportation has been heavily subsidized. You're throwing out a bunch of silly presumptions when all we need is to strike a better balance.
Now conservatives are moving the goal posts to..... why pay anyone? why have a profit? why have capitalism? Utter nonsense.
Conservatives don't need to provide alternatives. All they need to do is re-run the pre-ObamaCare playbook, cast doubt and poke holes in the current system. They've been former shells of themselves on this front after BFF turned traitor, John Roberts, blindsided them at the courts.
