I was at Academy last night to get Steve Francis' autograph, and I asked Stevie how it was going with Cuttino. He said to me, "I'm trying, trust me, I'm trying." There definitely seemed to be some doubt in his voice, as if he knew it was a lost cause. Then he said, "I tried to get him to come and sign here with me but he couldn't make it. I wish he was here." Whether he was hinting to me that his attempt to bring him back was like his attempt to get him to sign autographs with him I have no idea, but it seems to me like Cuttino's gone. The frustration about the question may be because lots of people had asked about the Cat, but I don't know. I may have been the first one to mention it. ------------------ [This message has been edited by DaFranchise (edited May 18, 2000).]
I'm just impressed that Francis is still in town. Those boys are usually on the first plane home when the season is over. ------------------ http://rocketdavo.tripod.com
DaFranchise -- I wouldn't worry too much .... if Mobley is smart he'll know where the Rockets organization is headed and what a good chemistry thing they have going with the backcourt. I expect him to come back.... you never know, but I think he will. ------------------ NOTHING BUT .NET CLUTCHCITY.NET
I agree that we shouldn't worry, but you never know what $$$ can do. Didn't Shaq have a great situation going in Orlando, better than what we have here? I hope he comes back, but I can definitely see him leaving. ------------------
True, Shaq had a good thing going, but everyone on this board knows he went to L.A. because of the bright lights and ability to make himself more of a star. It was a good business decision on his part. Cuttino, I do not believe is looking to be a movie star and such. Like Clutch, I have no reason to believe he won't sign with Houston again. ------------------ We need some meat in the post!
