Who the hell is this hideously ugly "woman"(I assume) that I am continued to be forced to look at on a very large, very hard to miss, very glaring that it's downright taunting.. McDonald's ad???

Is she the CEO, did she win some kind of drawing???? Why the hell would anyone advertise their product with a grotesquely ugly image in such an apparent way?? I know McDonalds sells a disgusting product.. but must they be so honest to that fact..? Have they been so bankrupt by the lawsuits that they couldn't afford a less repulsive face to slap on their LARGE banner ads, that are almost impossible to ignore???? I mean seriously.. what the hell???

It was no big deal the first week.. but now.. it's strangely starting to piss me off...

I had no idea where to post this..

Does google select the ads that go on Clutchfans randomly?

If not.. were there no other options for Clutch to pick from..?

Can it be moved to the bottom portion of the site..?

Because this is one monstrously ugly banner ad... I'm compelled to strike at it.. with how unnatural it looks.. disturbingly ugly!

The easiest way to fix this- Log in. She disappears once this is done.

 No. I'm logged in, and she's always there. Is this banner targeted at selected posters or something?

Strange. I kept trying to adblock it with Firefox but couldn't since it's a flash add. Once I logged in the porker vanished.

Good luck on your quest. :)

thing is, I dont have any adblockers installed on this machine, yet the only ads I see are the text google ads at the top and/or after the first post in threads.

    how strange.

I don't get the big deal. It's just a banner ad. It isn't like you will be permanently damaged by the site of some advertisement. Get over it.

the ad doesn't bother me in that sense, but I do think it's kind of disurbing that it implies that the career potential of a middle aged black woman peaks at working for mcdonalds. That advertising campaign trying to convince us that mcdonalds is not a crummy place to work is the biggest load of crap. Whatever ad agent came up with that idea should work in fast food for a year and see if he/she can make it up the ladder.

What's next, saying that an NBA ballboy can eventually make it to the NBA if they work hard enough?

Anything Clutch can do to keep this site going, without ruining it, which this certainly doesn't do, is fine with me. Do you guys have any idea what the man must go through to juggle this site, work, a family, and having to work with Jeff? ;)

He paid for it out of his pocket for years, and I highly doubt that donations and these ads pay for everything now. Heck, if you figured out Clutch's time put in by the hour, there's NO WAY it comes close to covering it. Quit gripping and go post some quality stuff to balance out the BS I lard the board with.

Yeah, I get the ad all the time (it's pretty much the only ad that displays for me). It doesn't really bother me. I don't care what is being advertised as long as it isn't a pop up window, but I will agree that the lady is pretty damn fugly and I laugh at the thought of someone starting a "career" at McDonald's based on that lady laughing like she's having a ball working for Mickey D's.

    Does anyone remember this one?

Obviously McDonalds has had a good response targeting the ugly woman demographic to pull another stunt like this.

Heck, if you aren't grossed out by their pictures, how far off would your taste in food be?

As for the banner ads, go Clutch!
