ufc needs a featherweight division. BRING IN YAMAMOTO "KID" NORIFUMI!

i would pay good money to see KID obliterate urijah "california kid" faber.

Now come on Sam, if you're going to call out MMA/UFC for "doing it that way for years", all I have to say is "Don King and his circus". Game. Set. Match. :)

MMA marketing is probably more akin to boxing promotions than WWE.

I'm not calling them out for it, in fact I enjoy it.

One of the good things about the low fighter pay for the UFC vis a vis the revenues is that it keeps everybody under one roof (with the demise of PRIDE, there is now one big sanctioning body in the major leagues) and keeps the fighters dependent, so they can't get ruinous agents, managers, promoters, etc. Trade-off, of course, becuase the flipside is that the reprehensible fertittas get even richer off their gladiators.

What was I talking about again? Who cares. Steve Francis and Floyd M. Jr. are hanging out at ringside because they promoted a fight on ESPN2 Friday Night Fights tonight. Not relevant, just watching it as I type

He has probably done thousands upon thousands of sit ups with his stomach pushed out instead of having it sucked in -- so the muscles developed that weird look.

Man, I'm going for Chuck, but he's going to have to get off a flurry on Rampage because it seems like Rampage can take a punch. I can't remember the last fight, but I thought Chuck rocked him once with a punch. The problem was that Rampage just came back with combinations to counter.

Wanderlei Silva beat Rampage twice and Mauricio Rua beat him once, but those are 2 of the best figthers in the world. Chuck's going to have to be at that level to beat Rampage.

Liddell's been a good champ and represented the belt well, so he deserves respect. COME ON CHUCK, WIN IT!!!!

    Well Hell.

    I just punched it in.

My first UFC fight - Live.

I will say this about UFC. Most of those dudes seem like good dudes and are not the kind of dudes you would have to train to defend yourself against in the streets because because of their training and all that goes with it they aren't those type of characters that would try to start hell for the hell of it. More likely they'd be the type of characters that would have your back against the darker characters in this world. So to downtalk 'em and all that is... I don't know what thats about. I can think of a billion times more absurd stuff in the world.

but anyways, I hope the main event goes a couple rounds.

I think Chuck has this fight won... Face it, Rampage is cool but his first ufc in my eyes was ugly and he didn't look comfortable, I don't think Rampage has it anymore, all he can do is look mean.. and intimidating.. so here I am, I'm officially saying Chuck is going to win this one, I still want to see it though.

anyways I'm really looking forward to the Karo Parisyan vs. Josh Burkman fight

and of course I love watching the 150lbers go at it since thats my weight class, always fun to watch.

Btw I'd love to see Gomi in the ufc!!
