wrong. It is a right to work states but as an employee you are entitled certain labor laws which may certainly help you in the place of a lawsuit. Those are not provided to independent contractors such as yourself.

I've never been ticketed driving for them. I'm not sure, I guess the officials in certain cities are just being paid off so heavily by the taxi cab services that it's in their interest to keep ticketing Uber drivers.

Right because enforcing city ordinances must mean they are heavily getting paid:confused::confused::confused::confused:

I know Uber is still illegal in Austin (for now), but Uber still covers drivers if their cars get impounded.

lol...I guess man. Whatever your beef is with Uber. I love working for them and haven't had any of the issues you brought up.

Get a free google number and use a different credit card and use this code for another $30 off of your next trip

    Peace.

Problems like these has happened to numerous people if you read on the comments of Ubers fb or their unoffical forum.

And i guess these thousands of ex uber drivers complaining must be trolls too right?

As you can obviously see I dont have "beef''. you shouldnt be running around spewing all these things without knowing the legal facts behind them. Misrepresenting and giving people wrong information isn't right

I can't speak for all those drivers. There are also thousands of happy drivers and I'm one of them. Like I said, I don't know why you're getting so worked up about Uber and the drivers that feel they were mistreated by the company. Several of the examples you're giving sound like irresponsible drivers that can't accept responsibility for their own faults.

Everything is always good and dandy until SOMETING happens. How did Uber react to that case in California regarding that kid on New Years?

Theres been thousands of drivers who have been mistreated, you're just a sheep who doesn't open his eyes. You didnt even know you were operating illegally in the place you were working until an hour ago.

I posted things, they have emailed me and things that are on their website through my dashboard as a driver. If Uber doesn't live up to those promises, then that's on them. I'm simply pointing out my experiences with the company.

I second this. Driving for Uber is about as good as it gets for those looking for a part time gig with extremely flexible hours.

It sounds like you are really enjoying doing it full time as well.

I think this is pointless to talk about with you. Do yourself a favor and see how many pissed off drivers they are and the direction the company is going. They are making drivers update to 2010+ cars in some select cities and they are forcing drivers to do "random" inspections with uber.

Uber can make "promises" all day, but they have legally solidified themselves against most of the stuff they preach about. Read their facebook comments and open your eyes yourself.

At the end of the day if you hit someone/get in trouble god forbids, you can be left alone in an Island and theres not a damn thing you can do about it legally. How isnt that scary?

San Diego. I just drive on Friday and Saturday nights after my kids go to sleep. I usually call it a night after I've made about 100 bucks.

It's funny because I read all of the negative reports about how Uber "mistreats" the drivers, but have yet to experience anything negative at all. It's a great way to pick up extra cash, get experience conversing with all walks of life, and genuinely be entertained.
