Hilarious article of the People's Champ, Tyson and his thought on Tarver.

Warning: Explicit language. (what's up might want to shield his eyes)

Well, Tyson is a shell of his former self, but I believe he would easily whoop Tarver's ass.

Tarver is a very good fighter, if he stays away from Tyson for 3-4 rounds he wins by knockout 5-7. I'd totally watch the fight - unlike the giants Tyson has fought the last couple of fights I think he would have a real shot at getting to Tarver in the first 3 rounds.

That is too good to be real. Tyson is hilarious. I don't think I'll ever get tired of Tyson fights. Hell, I'd even watch him punch the hell out of a car like E. Honda if they would show it on tv.

see i can't understand this. his last fights haven't been anywhere near approaching entertaining...in any sense.

having said that...Tyson's Greatest Hits is on ESPN Classic right now. now that's good stuff.

For the same reason why everyone wants to fight him. It's the myth of Mike Tyson.

but the myth's over. it's done. we've seen it over and over again. there aren't many fight fans out there more interested than i am in boxing. and i could not care less about mike tyson at this point. the fights simply aren't entertaining any more. he isn't mike tyson any longer.

I agree that he isn't even close to being the fighter that he once was, but he still packs a lot of entertainment value as the "Mike Tyson" personality (IMO). When I watch him fight (over the last few years), I'm not fooling myself into thinking that I am watching world class boxing, but Tyson, win or lose, is still fun to watch, including all of the pre-bout drama and interviews like the one that started this thread. He is still unpredictable, and while it may not be great boxing, it is entertaining.
