    1. Rox should start Brooks for awhile and let Rafer come in from the bench.

    2. JVG for defensive coach is a great idea. Hope it happens.

Tracy would be the slowest point guard in the league. I think Mark Jackson as old as he is could beat Tracy in a foot race right now. I can’t really see Tracy pushing the ball up the court. There would never be a chance for fast breaks. Plus, if anyone thinks he dominates the ball now wait until he has the ball in his hands most of the time.

I dislike the idea to put TMac at the PG spot because his play is slow now and seems very predictable and the defense could handle easily.
However, I agree Ric Adelman maybe should go. He surely has very good winning record, like 22 in a row, or 60% season record, but behinds those splendid records you see not much real thing. When you look back to Sac you say oh they're really playing well everybody is moving and makes shot, very fun to watch, but when you look at Rox what you have? all those ugly plays at game end? a not so well conditioned 20 mil TMac? a one sided league best C? not to mention the well noticed word "chemistry". Rox now are equiped with enough talents by design, if they don't play well consistently, then the coach should do something to guide those players and tell them the right direction to go, if someone isn't listening, coach him, if it doesn't work, sit him or trade him. You cann't let them play at will and let the meltdown happen again and again.

1.) Tracy McGrady starting as point guard
McGrady seems to have great court vision and ball-handling. What's been lacking is his explosiveness and shooting. So why not make him a point guard and either trade Alston/Brooks and use remaining point guard as a backup? I think T-Mac at this point would make a much more valuable pg than a shooting guard, no? We can start Von Wafer as the shooting guard or start Artest. Why waste the one thing T-Mac still has: ballhandling?

Those are my thoughts. Thank you. ::gets off podium::[/QUOTE]

Our SF should be paid more attention also. Now Batier can't show good performance, especially the POINT ability.

    1. i think it's better that tmac and rafer DO NOT PLAY TOGETHER. Both tmac and rafer need the ball to be effective. Either we start Rafer with Wafer, Artest, Scola and Yao or we start with Brooks, Tmac,Battier,Scola and Yao. Those two just dont fit on the floor together. Rafer sucks too much to play off the ball and play catch and shoot. Tmac needs the ball in his hands to get in rhythm all the time.

With Tmac, Brooks doesnt need to make decisions anymore. Just bring the ball up and dump it to tmac and guard the other team's pg.

    2. Not gonna happen especially with how they split up last time. JVG may like to be back with the rockets, but i dont think the relationship b/w him, more and les would get better.

rafer can start with mcgrady. it could work well. the thing is, mcgrady needs to attack the basket relentlessly. rafer doesn't quite have that ability due to his tear drop. without mcgrady penetrating, we have no guard penetration whatsoever. worst scenario is mcgrady actually takes over half of rafer's job and what's left for rafer to do is to shoot the ball, which he sucks at.

but a mcgrady-artest combo on the court at the same time imo has proven very inefficient.

i agree that it could work. but so far, rafer has given me the impression that he wants more control of the ball, at the same time, tmac wants to be more of a facilitator. and from what we've seen so far with both of them on the floor is the worst scenario you mentioned.

definitely, mac and artest on the floor at the same time doesnt work. so either artest starts with wafer and rafer (who can finally orchestrate the offense as much he likes, without deferring to tmac's better playmaking skills), or tmac starts with brooks (who plays better as a starter and with a veteran backcourt mate e.g. barry), and battier.

adelman really needs to work out his rotations. so far, it's a miss with tmac available to play. i guess he doesnt realize that rafer's play drops when the ball isnt in his hands.

    1. depends what we can get for tracy
    2. not needed

    3. we have better people to get rid of than tracy. i.e. rafer, battier, artest
