Is this only for the desktop or is this something you can also do from your mobile? I saw some options to open your texts to twitter, but can you "tweet" similar to facebook as an app? Also, what do people general think of the app? Do you use it or find it useful?
I have it connected to my text, and I have several friends that I follow. I was set up on it when I went to the Republican National Convention as a way to communicate what was happening with other people that i went with and people back home. It's a cool program and fun, but I'm not sure how "useful" it is.
ok, i found one for my blackberry. on to the next question which is how useful is it? i'm a little confused as to how you expand your network beyond people you know.
I find it useful... just to keep track of close buddies and such... Hit me up (anyone on here that "knows" me) if you wish. houtexfan
I finally jumped on the Twitter bandwagon a few weeks ago. Just following a few friends right now. There are people out there that will follow anyone. I'm also following Shaq and Aziz from The Human Giant and the upcoming Parks and Recreation show. His updates are funny and frequent.
For mobile, I use TwitterBerry For the desktop though, TweetDeck is an insanely awesome application. It organizes your messages very nicely and has a slick looking UI. It's MUCH better than just using the twitter web site. I'm pretty much addicted to Twitter now and use it constantly throughout the day. You can configure Facebook so that your tweets will automatically update your Twitter status. You can also use tags in your tweets so that other people with similar interests can find your posts. For example, I could tweet "Great win by the #Rockets." Then people would be able to click on the #Rockets and find similar tweets from other users. My twitter ID is just my name, TrayHarrison.
