Terry Crews Reiterates Desire To Play LUKE CAGE In Upcoming Marvel And Netflix Series We've heard from Brooklyn Nine-Nine and The Expendables 3 star Terry Crews about his interest in playing Luke Cage a number of times in the past, but now that Marvel and Netflix have given the character his own series, the actor makes it clear that he still wants the role... While it appears as if Luke Cage is no longer heading to the big screen, the fan-favourite character will soon be joining Daredevil on Netflix in his own 12-episode series on the online streaming service. Talking to IGN Movies, The Expendables 3 star reiterated his desire to still play the former Power Man if the opportunity arises. "I would love to do Luke Cage. I heard they finally green-lit that whole thing and I would love to do something like that." As for whether or not he had any other superhero roles in kind, he added: "I have so many. I have to go back to Luke Cage just because he was our Superman. There were no African-American superhethe equivalent to Superman for me. But I have plenty. Second to Luke Cage would probably be The Hulk. The Hulk was amazing." Crews is of course busy with Brooklyn Nine-Nine, but if he were to find the time, there's no denying that he would be a good choice. roes out there. He was the first. He was the man. He was the one. The only example we could look at. I remember then seeing Falcon and a couple of others. Even in the D.C. Universe there was Cyborg. But Luke Cage was the original one where you said ‘This is me. The netflix shows are live-action and tie into the movie universe. Fox owns the live-action film rights. That's DC. Get your comic publishers straight. Spoiler
We've been talking about this at work, it's a gift. If you don't take him as Luke Cage you're not paying attention, plus he wants the role. Also...can't wait to see Iron Fist.
He has the build and look . . .and i think he can carry it I was wondering if it was a money thing Rocket River
I have watched all but Defenders and all I can say is that they are just ok. The problem I have is things seem to drawn out and I lose interest around episode 7 or 8. Dare Devil was good and season 2 best of all of them. Luke Cage could have easily been two 6 episode season. Jones kind of sucked and I could not really get into it. Iron Fist was better that expected, but still not great and seemed too long.
I only watched jessica Jones and iron fist. to me jessica Jones was awesome, not sure why you didn't like it. And iron fist, I only watched because of jessica henwick. I didn't care for the story beyond her story inside of it.
I'm just thinking back to Punisher in Season 2 of DD... I'm not sure I want to watch 13 episodes of something that freaking dark and grizzly.
