Lemme give you a summary without even watching. Blah blah, 1) TMac is God. 2) Missing TMac hurts a lot 3) Rockets are pretenders, can't see them beating Spurs and Lakers in a 7 game series. 4) Won't keep 3rd seed with remaining schedule. 5) Nuggets, Hornets, j*zz, Portland will sneak up on them. 6) Rockets onlt have role players who are incapable of taking over playoff games.
Jameel: Praised the rockets, said they are better without Tmac, named a ton of rockets (wafer, landry, lowry, etc), praised the Lowry trade Skip: Obviously hasn't watched the Rockets- said Lowry isn't contributing, said they are good in the regular season, bologna in the post season. Consensus: Rockets w/o Tmac >> Rockets w/ Tmac
Thanks for the recap Jerin. Nice seeing you post again Skip has no idea what he's talking about if he thinks Lowry hasnt been contributing. Maybe he didnt watch the end of last nights game? Can't disagree with their assessment of the rockets though.
Skip doesn't know jack. Last year, he was telling the world that we play much better without Yao. Said he was holding us back. Jameel doesn't know a damn thing either. This is the same chick that said Kobe is better than MJ.
its amazing how many ignorant "analysts" espn employs. they let go of one of their better nba guys in david alridge and have people like skip bayless stephen a smith on payroll. Ric Bucher PTI JVG/Breen are probably the only show/people I like to hear on espn
Rockets are getting national attention, listening to a national radio show last night and they were pimping rockets
Skip has the small eyes, can not see the smaller players like Lowry, only can see Shaq, Yao and James's fly.
i get the feeling espn analysts are just actors who say wild stuff just to create a debate and controversies. seems to work everytime
The thing I like about Skip Brainless is his energy....but he is wrong sooooo much. I mean...his predictions....his analysis...the stuff he gets right is no-brainer material, everything else is wrong.
ESPN covers on a national level, so it's hard to expect that they watch every Rockets game or any other small market team's games. They get most of their reports or "breaking news" stuff from local media coverages. It's mainly just a composite of local media reports with their own analysis, which explains why they would not think much of Lowry. Because everyone in Houston knows how Lowry has contributed greatly in the past few games. I'm definitely excited about Lowry. Not since Stevie has left had we had someone who can attack the basket as Clyde would describe, "ferosciously". Lowry knows how to attack and draw a foul, you don't have to watch too long to notice that...it's a skill you can't teach. I'm excited to have him!
Last year Skip said we had a better chance in the playoffs with Mutombo than with Yao. I guess if T-mac and Yao both went down he would have us as the NBA champs.
