    Tszyu beats Tackie

    Story.....

Australia's Kostya Tszyu dominated Ghana's Ben Tackie, winning a unanimous decision to retain his undisputed world super lightweight boxing championship.

Two judges gave the verdict to Tszyu 120-108 while the third scored the fight 119-109.

Tszyu rose to 29-1 with one drawn and 23 knockouts in his 14th title fight while the 28-year-old African, the International Boxing Federation's top-rated challenger, fell to 24-3 in his first title bout.

Tszyu, who knocked out favoured Zab Judah last November for the division's undisputed title, was hurt by a right hand from Tackie in the third round but otherwise worked with hard right hands and solid jabs to frustrate Tackie.

Solid combinations and scoring jabs by Tszyu left Tackie with no answers. The Aussie rocked the African in the fifth round but could not topple Tackie, who has never been knocked down in his pro career.

From the sixth round, Tszyu launched a jabfest that a bewildered Tackie could only flail against in vain.
