It's possible that Ron Artest could still play for the Kings. Artest said he wants to talk to officials from the team that trades for him first. He has not said he won't play for Sacramento, and the Kings are in an awkward position now that they've revealed their willingness to trade Peja Stojakovic. -- Indianapolis Star

Laker coach Phil Jackson is facing a quandary of sorts, with a player who can score, say, 81 points in a game, but who also distorts the "everybody share" crux of Jackson's triangle offense. There had been a "second coming of Kobe," Jackson said Tuesday, paying tribute to Bryant's outburst against Toronto before solemnly acknowledging a need to return to normalcy. -- Los Angeles Times

Larry Brown said yesterday that he is expecting Antonio Davis to rejoin the team but the coach was noncommittal when asked where and when that may take place, raising speculation that Davis may never again play for the Knicks. The longer he stays away, however, the more his absence increases the possibility of Isiah Thomas trading or releasing Davis, who is in the last year of his contract. -- New York Daily News

Maurice Cheeks acknowledged last night there were "loud exchanges" in the 76ers' locker room after his team suffered a 28-point loss at Washington last week, but added he did not find the mood unusual. -- Philadelphia Inquirer

The 76ers' Lee Nailon was arrested yesterday afternoon by the Lower Merion police and missed last night's game against the Kings. In 1999, Nailon was arrested on a drug charge and evading arrest. The charges were later dropped. -- Philadelphia Inquirer

Vince Carter said yesterday he plans to play tonight against the Clippers despite a stiff lower back he suffered in the opening minutes of Monday's loss at Utah. Carter still could be held out of the game if he suffers a setback when he wakes up this morning or if Nets trainer Tim Walsh wants to give him a game to recover. -- New York Daily News

A former high-level Knicks executive filed a lawsuit yesterday accusing Isiah Thomas, the team's president, of sexual harassment and discrimination, saying he had made unwanted advances, cursed her and barred players from working with her on community events. -- New York Times

Mavericks forward Jerry Stackhouse appears to have taken a significant step in his return from an ailing right knee. Stackhouse said Tuesday that he has had no problems with the knee since playing a season-high 35 minutes in an overtime win at Portland on Sunday. -- Dallas Morning News

Charlie Bell, who has been sidelined with a sprained right knee for the past six weeks, practiced yesterday and said he could be back in the lineup when the Bucks play the Raptors Friday night. Bell's return would bring some relief to a guard corps that also has been missing regulars T.J. Ford and Mo Williams at various times in the past few weeks. -- Milwaukee Journal Sentinel

T&R is just a bad knock off of the rumors page on (hoops hype) or (in side hoops) dot com.

Was there something in particular that led you to making this thread? A scoop? or just the T&R section in general?
