Why can't you just start at the point that he never should have been followed because a freaking police dispatcher already told Zimmerman not to do so. but you keep trying to put some responsibility on a kid when a grown ass man was already told to not do what he did
And the point about race is this, because he is a black teenager people act like he should know he will be automatically suspected of something so the burden is on him to react accordingly to diffuse any situation that may result.
A neighborhood watch program is not a legal/law institution. This is about who broke the law, not about who 'should have done what'.
I put responsibility for this tragedy on both parties but I don't think it rises to the level of Murder II or even Manslaughter had that charge been brought. Zimmerman was trying to do what he thought was the right thing by keeping his eyes on the suspect until the police arrived. Maybe that was a bad choice but was it malicious?
No, not at all. If you feel you are in a dangerous situation (regardless of your skin color), the smart thing to do is to put yourself in the company of others and seek help.... not ditch and then go MMA on someone which is apparently what happened.
I know it's his fault. he went mma he should have been in a ghetto boxing gym doing something with his life instead of walking to his dad's home. nothing but a knuckle head
So the teenager who wasn't given advice by a dispatcher. has the same responsibility as a chl holder who had taken law enforcement classes who was told to do the opposite of what he did?
No one has the same responsibility because they were different characters in this tragedy, but they both have responsibility.
How much should the fact that Zimmerman ignored the dispatcher and was recorded calling martin an ******* weigh in on responsibility?
Really that's all he intended to do that night? I don't think that should lead to death but that's just me
Zimmerman was under no obligation to follow the dispatcher's suggestion because the dispatcher has no authority over Zimmerman. Calling Martin an ******* was nothing personal. The neighborhood had been plagued by burglaries and Zimmerman was determined not to let this one get away. If Zimmerman was the cowboy many try to make him out to be, he would have gone in with his gun unholstered... but he didn't. The gun didn't come into play until Martin had discovered it on Zimmerman's body and as Zimmerman said ~" it became our gun rather than my gun."
Why do you think it is just you that thinks that. Martin did not deserve to die. Why do you constantly labor to be provocative about this?
******* was nothing personal? lol no obligation lol? So you believe everything Zimmerman claims even though a med examiner claims his injuries were minimal even though martin couldn't have been hiding behind those small hedges?
Because if he bore the responsibility you claim than he deserves it. you don't want anyone to go to jail
In other words... you acknowledge that Zimmerman went outside neighborhood watch training by continuing to follow and then confronting while armed. The rest is just playing with legalese ("...about who broke the law") to acquit Zimmerman. But we both know *if* Zimmerman had followed neighborhood watch training, Martin would not have been shot that night.
You state with certainty what are in reality a lot of possibilities-- some of them remote. People here call Utah fans Jazzholes, should they be seriously upset? GZ was talking about burglars (which is what he suspected TM was) not TM. At that point, he didn't know that TM was only 17. He could barely see his face in the dark and under that hoodie. Check out the reputation of Rao the M.E. She has been the source of complaints going back several years. Here are a batch of photos of GZ's head. There appear to be at least three blood trails in his scalp. Did he fall three times or have his head banged three times? www.bing.com/images/search?q=george...vt=george+zimmerman's+head+injuries&FORM=IGRE It was an hour past sunset. TM could have easily hidden there in the dark.
Exactly to defend Zimmerman you have to excuse him o legal responsibility being a licensed gun carrier and his training as a neighborhood watchmen .
Only persons found guilty of a crime with a prison sentence should go to prison-- all of them. Responsibility does not have to rise to the level of criminal behavior.
