Why isn't the Rockets going after Travis Best? Is it that the Rockets can't afford him or is it that they just don't want him? and who is Bowen (Nuggets)? I have never heard of him and them I read that he's considered to be among the league's top defenders? I know I probaly don't know as much as you guys but I think i'm very aware of who's who in the league.
Travis Best is horrible. His favorite move is to dribble around the perimeter with no purpose for 22 seconds and then throw the ball to a teammate facing away from the basket. He gets used by guards with any strength too.
^^ it was posted in the Houston Chron. that he was rated as the one of the league's top defender. That's true about best and his size but I don't think that he was always on the perimeter dancing around like Francis or any one of the Rockets last season backcourt player.
He's alright but does have a tendency to over dribble. I remmeber one year with the pacers he was at the top of the key. Did some fancy dribbling, got no further than the top of the key and passed off. The commentator was like "Well that was a waste of dribbling" I nearly fell off my chair.
No I do not believe everything the Chron says, but I was just stating the man words... DAMN.. all that hate coming off of you. STOP HATING
