Hello everyone. My fiancee and I are trying to decide where to go for our honeymoon in May. We've thought of going to the Bahamas, or something like that, or doing something in the States. I'd rather not go outside of the mainland, so I don't have to get a passport, and I really don't want to spend a couple grand or so to go walk on a beach....
If anybody can get me to a great deal/package on a Bahama trip or some such, or suggest something reasonable ($$$), I'd greatly appreciate it. We'll have a week vacation for the trip.

    Thank you.

    Sandals is nice.

However, I recommend go in debt and go here:

I wife and I went to Hawaii and had a terrific time. It's a great combination of "stuff to do" and "nothing to do". We spent two nights on Oahu and saw Pearl Harbor then went to Kauai for four nights and then spend five nights on the big Island. You can sit around on a beach or by the pool if you want to relax or spend time snorkeling, hiking, eating, checking out the volcano (we went by hellicoptor and to Volcanos National Park) whatever...

Our trip cost us $3,600 for round trip airfare, all the hotels, flights between islands and a rental car on Kauai and on the Big Island. This was in April of
'98. Obviously we spent a lot more cash while we were there.

Heading here in April. It has a 1.2 mile beach, but you can also snorkel just off the beach and check out rays, turtles, squid, and the fishies in the coral.

Yeah, it's pretty much fixed up by now. They have message boards on that site with trip reports of people who have been there since January. Apparently the storm damaged the pier and a couple shade trees.

I booked a trip with www.cheapcaribbean.com - I don't know when you are going but we got 5 nights with air for 2 people for $1800. (Including transfer but no trip insurance). It gets a lot cheaper after Easter.

Glitter Bay in Barbados...and if you find a wedding ring washed up on the beach that says "Forever Tori" and has a wedding date of 10-8-94 inscribed, I will give you some money.
