Man, I kept all my Star Wars/ Transformers/Micronauts toys from when I was young and gave them to my son. Wonder what they are worth. I have the whole set from Star Wars through ROTJ figures and almost all the vehicles. Plus about 20-25 of the original Transformers including Optimus Prime. Unfortunately, most are opened.

Form... arms and legs! Wait, one of the arms is missing. Aw, **** it, keep going!

Form... body and torso! Why won't this ****ing thing lock into place! Goddamnit Voltron!

And I'll form the head! Oops, the head fell off. Aw ****, let's go light some firecrackers."

Those Star Wars figs are valuable. If I were you I'd sort them all out and get all the accessories to each of them I could find and store them with their accessories so they don't get lost.

One of the bad things about the Star Wars figs was there were so many of them. I think there were like 5 different Luke Skywalker figures for each of the movies or something like that...and if they are sealed in the package, each package is different and different packaging makes the same figure worth different amounts.

Example (making this one up off my head): The put out a regular Luke Skywalker figure for Star Wars in one kind of packaging. Then expand the figure assortment of the set so they put him out in different packaging with more people listed on the back. Then they do the same thing with the same figure for the next 2 movies!

So some figures have 6 or 7 different packages they can come in and all are worth different amounts depending on rarity!

Then, lets suppose they put out that same Luke, but changed the length of the light saber midway through production...those are different prices too!

Its very confusing, but most action figure price guides break down the assortments pretty well, so you should be able to figure out which one you have.

I know overall, the generally most expensive figures were from the original Power of the Force set of figs that came out like a year or two after Jedi. They had some old figs, and some new, and were packaged with a coin. These are some of the most sought after ones.

    Other notables from the sets:

The "ghost" figure of Annakin Skywalker...clear plastic mail away.

Can go for $1,000 if in package.

The "telescoping light saber" Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader's. Actually kind of crappy looking, but very rare because they sucked so bad and were dangerous for small children. Has a "light saber" come straight out of their arm and you can pull it out and push it back in again.

Also, any figure or playsets ordered from Sears or Montgommery Ward's. More rare because you had to order, couldn't just walk into a store and buy them.

A regular, common figure from those sets, opened, without accesories, still goes for about $10-15 because people want them to complete collections and stuff. More for more popular and rarer guys.

Not that great of a site, but you can check out some of the prices of your figs. Click on "star wars" on the left.

You can also check out "starting lineups." Those were my dorky collecting passion for a few years.

    Supermac;
Thanks for the info. I had a idea they were worth something, just not so much.
I found a Han Solo original on there on card I have worth 600.00 and a Boba Fett original on card worth 700.00. I cant believe it.
If my son holds on to all this stuff it will sure help toward furthering his college fund. I have a Jawa variant that if it was on a card would be worth 2,200.00-too bad he is opened.
I did a bit of quick figuring and between the men on the card and open ones I have about 6,000 in Star Wars men alone not including the ships and playsets like the Death Star and Cantina I have still in the box. Thanks again for the help!

I have a VERY bad memory when it comes to things in my past. (it was apart of an evil gypsy curse put on me. DARN GYPSIES!) Well anyway, I seem to remember having transformer toys, but I don't remember the show. I may not have watched much of it. What channel was it on, back then? I only remember watching Ninja Turtles,Looney Tunes, and Popeye. I later watched the evil Power Rangers. (please don't embarass me!) That's about all I can remember from the "early years." I think Ninja Turtles were my favorite.

it's okay rc cola, you're a young buck. As a child of the 90's you obviously didn't have the same quality programing as we did in the late 80's.
