I'm sucker for anything based on Greek mythology, hope this can wash out the taste from Troy and The Clash of the Titan's remake....

Tarsem Singh is the best visual story teller nobody's ever heard of.

This looks and should be infinitely better than that Sucker Punch trash.

Sadly, it looks like 300 meets clash of the titans remake. I'm a sucker for this stuff too, and it's always done so poorly. Gotta just revel in the good scenes, usually.

Looks like a mashup/ripoff of 300 and Clash of the Titans.

    Sold.

This has a much better director than either of those films....

I agree. It should be better than both of those movies. That won't be hard though, considering the remake of Clash of the Titans sucked something awful and 300 wasn't much better.

Little Albert Mondego from Count of Monte Cristo is all grown up.

Looks good visually, hope the story is good as well.

The trailer looks great. I'm looking forward to it. Doesn't have the same cheesy feel to it that Clash of the Titans had.

I'm a sucker for this kind of visual and genre. Visually and the action style is very similar to 300 but I like 300 especially the actions kick total ass.

I am a sucker for the genre but think this type of cinematography is horrible. Everything, even when done real professionally, just looks so so fake. It's like taking something like The Mummy, and trying to make it look more realistic, but it just ends up looking dumb to me, because at least with The Mummy, it was light hearted and fun.

I prefer Gladiator type cinematography. It feels more historic, and real, while still being beautiful and epic.

Of course, that's a pretty high standard that not everyone can hit, but you get the idea.

I got to the point in this trailer where he shoots some magical bow that lights up straight for a mile and then blows up a wall or something, and it was a pass for me...

Again, I understand from the get go this is going to have some non-realistic stuff - hence the movie name - but think it could still be done maybe a little less "shiny" and more gritty. Right before the scene I mentioned above they show the army massing outside the city I guess and it just looks so computer graphicy fake.

It's a Greek mythology about Theseus and the Minotaur and the Titanomachy.

I don't know how realistic you want sh-t that never existed to look.

I have to agree, I mean if you want some sort of realism with the gods removed then just watch Troy.

I think this style fits well for this type of film.

Troy sucked because they tried to make the story realistic. If they kept to the original story, with gods and superpowers, it would've been much better.

Agreed! Troy was a POS and Brad Pitt is the icing on top of that pile of poop. A surfer boy with bad accent pretending to play an epic Greek hero.

Funny you say that because they're making a sequel to Clash, called Wrath of the Titans.

It would be so damn good if they could make a faithful telling of the Iliad, complete with all the gods running amok. Why is the best version of the Oddysey still a made for tv movie from 14 years ago? Time to rewatch Henson's Storyteller series.

I think it'd be interesting to see something lime that, that was at least based in a realistic human world. Meaning even the non supernatural stuff looks too sparkly and fake - and the dialogue usually furthers it.
