I knew this left lane thing would rear its ugly head. I doubt there has ever been a conversation in the history of the world about Houston traffic where someone couldn't control the urge to complain about drivers obeying the law in the left lane.
A poster whom I greatly respect took the time to find the Texas law on it and posted it in another traffic thread: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showpost.php?p=6084558&postcount=46 Basically, you only have to move over if you are slower than general traffic. You can drive at the same speed in the left lane.
Welcome aboard GRANDPA; I see you don't mince words and retain your mental faculties; we need your wisdom and political acumen in the D&D stat.
That's what I was describing though. I'm only get annoyed when they're actually moving slower than traffic or the posted speed.
Why don't people take blindspots seriously in Houston? Get some damn 99 cent blind-spot mirrors and prevent some accidents.
LOL, I'm not an elitist by any means.. I've tried the bus. Got mugged.. and thought **** that ****. Private vehicle is the way to do.
but noticing it was 0846 when OP was made, were you in traffic writing this or already made it in? HmmHmm
My pet peeve of the day is the CapsLK. What the hell is there one on every keyboard for anyway. I always hit it when I type an 'a' and screw up the rest of my sentence. Grampy apparently either doesn't know what it does or yells a lot because he's deef. And I guarantee you Grampy I'm older than you are and deafer.
LEAVE GRANDPA ALONE K THANKS I DONT USE PUNCTUATION BUT I LOVE FOX NEWS AND PLAID SHIRTS WITH SUSPENDERS
I have been in Lima, Peru since March and the traffic here sucks. Not as bad as Mexico City, but really !@#$ing bad. Houston has nothing on Lima. NOTHING!!!!! It's cars versus taxis vs combis/micros vs motorcycles versus pedestrians on the streets. On the freeways add trucks and it's a miracle that the death rate isnt through the roof. I take the Metropolitano (Bus). It might be packed, but it sure beats the freeway and major avenues.
