Indiana, Memphis, Portland, and Miami are still unsettled teams. And teams like Dallas and New York are still trying to cut a deal or two to improve their roster situation. I don't think all the big deals have been done yet. I am still looking for more deals, maybe even one or two involving the Rockets. I agree with previous posters. Along with Steve and Yao, I think Cat is untouchable until at least midseason. But I think the other players are up for grabs for the right deal, specifically Cato, Eddie, MoT, Rice. Those are the talents on this roster that could make positive contributions to other teams either on the floor or with cap relief. It's simply a matter of CD and JVG feeling like they have the best deal to improve this team. With Rice's expiring contract, time is on their side. Players still on the trading block from the other teams: Rasheed Wallace, Ruben Patterson, Damon Stoudamire, Ron Artest, Al Harrington, Stromile Swift, Brevin Knight, Wes Person, Shane Battier, Michael Dickerson, Brian Grant, and Eddie Jones just to name a few.
Damn, I clicked this thead hoping to see something about kinky lifestyles! Oh well, I guess I'll reply since I'm here. So why trade them? If "the right deal" is/was out there, the Rockets would have done it. I feel like a broken record, but let's see how this team performs under JVG before we tear it apart. If we're sputtering around .500 come the All Star break, let's talk.
No reason to trade unless we know we can get the better end of a deal. If we could get Wallace for Cato and Rice or something like that, I think we'd do that now. Or if we could get Artest for Rice and MoT. Some lopsided deal in our favor. Otherwise, we will sit tight and wait for that deal to come along. And I would be shocked at any trade involving Cat before December.
