    After watching the World Championships, would you trade Yao Ming for Jermaine O'Neal? For anybody on the U.S. team?

    Jrazz, i wouldn trade yao ming for anybody at this stage, i believe that yao ming will be a star in this league who could impact the league in ways not seen before. i jus want to know if u would make a trade like this? what is your reasoning behind this proposal? did u see anything we didn see? anyways, welcome to the bbs.

    Well, I can't speak for the originator of this thread - but If I were starting a thread like this, my point would be to satirize those who wanted to trade Yao Ming for anything we could get, before the draft.

    People were talking about Lamar Odom and Chris Wilcox deals, or trading him to the Knicks for Camby/Sprewell, or deals involving Antonio McDyess.

    After seeing him play, is there anyone who can contemplate those deals with a straight face? It's easy to trade away a No. 1 pick in these BBS hypotheticals, because its an unknown thing, it really doesn't have an identity.

    But we've seen Yao Ming play now.

    Holy ****.

    He's going to be great.

    Anyways, if I were starting a thread like this, that's what my point would be.
