I can... Just watch the first half of the Utah game. Most of them are fairly open shots including one that was wide open. Yes... he missed a wide open shot. Tmac is a streaky jump shooter. I rather see him be aggressive and attack the basket. I hope hes saving energy for the playoff because of his sore back.
What do you mean "never could be called a star recently"? If not for Tmac's stellar performance in the absence of Yao, this team would be headed for the 8th pick in next years lottery again. He was an MVP candidate and a legitimate one! This pessimism after a loss is just sickening. It is obvious when Tmac is not in the game, nothing happens! Yao doesn't even touch the ball if Mac's not playing. Yao is an incredible player and one of my favorites of all time, but Tmac is indispensible. Teams can gameplan for Yao, but not for Tmac, and especially not for both. Trade Tmac...?? RIDICULOUS!
I love these threads! They are the "are they effing serious??" kind. If you don't get off the band wagon, I hope someone pushes you off.
if houston DOES trade tmac, as long as he can find a way to los angeles so i can watch him w/o the hassle of paying more money on satellite then it's good. if i remember, lakers wanted tmac when they wanted to trade for shaq. tmac + kobe
very unlikely to be a western team, but the team that tmac fits the best is ..... orlando magic. so ridiculous but they have dhoward, very athletic and good rebounder. a bigger version of hayes. and magic needs a playmaker terribly.
I don't understand the logic behind this thread. Obviously, the big reason we lost against Golden State was because we didn't have T-Mac, not because of him.
well w/ tmac's back and salary, if houston wants to trade tmac, not a lot of teams are gonna offer as tempting of a deal as kwame/bynum + odom + pick. and i dont think orlando wants him now b/c of the way he left the organization. and since either los angeles or new york are wealthy enough to take a salary cap hit, they can afford tmac's salary. lakers are the team to watch for tmac more than anything. you're NOT gonna get a star in return for tmac.
ppl on here don't think so. they think they just need another decent guard next to yao and houston'll win. like i said, unless u get kobe/bron/wade, trading tmac => team can't get no better.

ppl would tell you it is not because rox needs tmac, it is because rox needs the salary and with 16m a year rox can easily get a player for 20, 5, 5.
is Clearance Witherspoon still playing ball? The rockets should trade t-mac for him (note the sarcasm)
you know what, i don't think lakers will trade their young players so they won't offer the above deal. but maybe ny.
You're crazy. The were 'hesitating' on offering Bynum along with some other pieces for an over-the-hill Jason Kidd who makes as much/more than McGrady with a worse contract. You think the Lakers would pass up the opportunity to put McGrady and Kobe in the same lineup? Even if they gave up Bynum/Odom/Luke or some of their other 'talent' then you would still have two pieces that perfectly resembles (if not edges out) the Bulls' Jordan/Pippen combo. McGrady can be their set up man and few players in the entire league are as good as he is at it, not to mention that at WORST he will still give you 22-25 ppg along with 6 asst and 6 rebs and may be a couple of steals here and there. Then you have Kobe who would need not worry anymore about getting his teammates involved and would just score, score, and score some more until the whole league surrenders. It's a nightmare scenario for the entire league, one that although I would enjoy watching from afar I wouldn't wish on the Rockets or the other teams in the West. Those two guys would not be Melo/AI Part II, because they're smarter better rounded players that know how to play the game. Lakers/Knicks would be crazy not to trade for Mac if he's on the market.
en... i never take the rumor of kidd to lakers seriously. i don't think lakers want old players with big contract at all. they sent away shaq and start to rebuild. i don't even think the rebuild is around kobe.
yet another reason this board would be better for contributing members only.. get rid of stuff like this
