I know this is just baseless coz this is from hoopchina.com, the best basketball site in China. The reason I kind of believe it is because 1. it makes sense 2. the same guy who came up with the news/rumor below accurately predicted the Rockets/King/Knicks trade one full day before it was announced, with the details of each player and picks. Hence I feel worth putting it here. Lock if it is unsuitable. Ok, back to business, Jeffries+Andersen+Alexander Johnson+2012 1st round (not clear rocket's or Knick's)+2011 2nd+300M cash for 2#+Brand and/or fillers 76ers are still waiting, hoping to get a better deal but I seriously doubt someone outbid us. Salary wise, it is not matching but Houston only needs to top up another 0.938M so not a big deal. Assuming it goes through, do you think Morey will take Tuner on #2 or trade down to 4# to take Cousins? I am getting excited day by day till the 25th.
What the hell is an Alexander Johnson? What the hell is a 300M? Why dont we just buy the team and then shutter them, making all their players FA's and sign Iggy to a 300M contract?
For as ridiculous is this guy's trade rumor is, I at least need to point out that the Rockets DID sign Alexander Johnson late in the season to a deal that is non-guaranteed for next season. This makes him a nice trade asset this summer. But I don't think he can be traded until early to mid-July.
I can't see the Sixers doing this deal for anything less than 15.8 billion dollars. The alleged $300 million throw in proposal is just chunk change....
What Feigan said in his blog today: So, what that means is that the talks with Sixers have gone somewhere.
This is interesting because then you can grab Evan Turner and trade him to Minnesota (who is said to covet Turner) If we did the Brand and #2 trade, we then trade #2+#14+Hill for Rubio and the rights to the #4 pick Demarcus Cousins. Next year is still solid Brooks/Lowry Martin/Budinger Ariza/Battier Scola/Brand Yao/Cousins And then add Rubio a year later.....
If you take out Alexander Johnson and put in Chuck Hayes, the deal will work. chuck has a team option and 76er can opt not to pick it up before 7/1.
