forget Allen, I would even trade Mobely for Redd. I see why the rockets would want to make this trade. They want a guy who can shoot the ball. Both of those guys are pure shooters and would much more sense with Yao in the middle.

vasecase, please tell me you are not serious. Why the hell would the Rockets ever sign their most hated adversary?

    No...I would rather have Allen.

And I don't post EVERY second. This is the only thread that I have gone crazy in. It is too hard to wait for him...I will not post as much in other threads. :)

IMO, it sounds too good to be true. I'd pull that trade in a heart beat...then trade Ray Allen and Eddie Griffin for Brand+Maggette.

Why would the Bucks want to trade Ray?

He's a bit soft, he's ankles always bother him, he doesn't seem to show up in the playoffs, he has a big contract. I think that's basically it.

A bit soft like an F-16 fighter jet, right? Meaning no he's not a tank, but remember that an F-16 can sure as heck do a lot of damage from long range. Especially if there is a tank (MING and soon enough EG) already near the target. IMO, he would be perfect for the Rockets.

On a sidebar, Ray Allen can bring a first round pick singlehandedly on his own in a trade, whereas combining Mobley and MoT/Cato could not do that except in the RAREST of conditions. Allen gives us flexibility, a treadeable commodity, and I concur if he doesn't appear to put us over the top, you package Allen and someone for Brand and someone this summer. It's perfect, if its' real.

I could live with Mo Taylor and Cat for Ray Allen but throwing Cato simply ain't worth it. You can't replace Cato's tenacity and aggressiveness, especially when he's the only big man we have showing it.

Besides, Ray Allen is overrated. Boo this.

    i'm with sane
ray is too much money and redd is better

keep with the cheaper contracts and the cap space will pay the dividends later . run the team like a corp, get the huge values for cheap prices

    Holy moley....

This'd be insane if it happened. I have a feeling SOMETHING will happen though, It's too quiet. there's always trade talks around this time and always nothing.

610 Radio just did a Ray Allen (reading is fundamental) commercial a mere seconds before Charli Pillilo mentioned the trade deadline and fan feedback show after the game.

According to realgm, Micheal Redd must approve any trade until the start of next season. Personally, I wouldn't mind adding either one of them.

The good thing is that KT has already been traded this season. Now if only the 2nd most selfish Rocket in recent history, Cuttino, can be dealt....the season may have somewhat of a bright spot. I can't believe those 2 players were actually one posters favorite rockets

Is it possible for bulletin boards to trade members? That guy/girl would be a good start. :)

I'm still calling BS on the Rahim for Griffin deal. Anyone have a link for that, or did I just swallow a chumbag?
