If I'm not mistaken, he will be making slightly less than 30M in his last 2 seasons combined.

Meaning, it's probably something like 12M this season, 12M next, and 14M in the final year.

    MAX contract.

I really like the potential in this trade--though Cat & Cato for Allen I don't think is near enough from Milw's end.

Allen is one of the best pure shooters in the game--IMO the only reason Redd looks as promising is teams are more focused to play Allen (similar thoughts to KR about this). I don't believe read overall is the caliber of player of Allen.

Now I might think it would have to be sweetened for Milwalkee. What about Cat, Cato & EG for Allen, Sampson and our choice of Gadzuric or Haislip? What if we make Milw include a #1 pick. You could also sub Boki in for EG and pick up one of either Gadzuric or Sampson to go along with Allen. Nah, these are probably too much to give up from our end--but if I am Milwalkee I want at least 1 young prospect to pull the trigger, probably EG because they are in more need of a PF.

Clutch, are there any other substanitated rumors that you have heard, that you can pass along to us? I know that most of the time you can't say what you hear, but I was just wondering.

If we could somehow in hell get Gadzuric out of it, then it would make a bad deal for Mil, even worse.

I think Gadzuric isn't that far behind Cato. Gadzuric is more athletic than Cato, can block a few shots and rebound. He would catch all of Francis' alley oops as well.

BTW, does anyone know how Clutch knows so much about the Rockets? Does he work for them? Or is he just a fan like us? Seems like he always has some inside information...

The thing is, Clutch didn't say THIS one was even substantiated.

I agree that Gadzuric would be a steal if we could get them to throw him in. Cato/Mobley for Allen/Gadzuric works under the cap. Maybe if we throw in the Drew obligation from Chicago they would bite. Don't really know what else we could add becuase I would hate to part with Griffin since Milwaukee doesn't have any young PFs that I like, Haislip included.

So what do we have? 21 hours left before the trade deadline?

MoT makes plenty of sense in a trade. While Mobley comes at a discounted price MoT is probably way too high priced for your back up power forward. Collier could back up Eddie and Cato could even get some time at the 4 if we needed him.

I wouldn't hesitate to trade Griffin, in this potential trade where we are badly ripping off Mil. Griffin is a poor man's Tim Thomas on offense.

I would take Haislip, Gadz, and Allen for Mobley, Cato, and EG.

You guys are too quick to dispose of Eddie. The guy is young, you don't blitz him in the big lights and then get nervous when he doesn't become an instant phenom. Let him mature, sheez.

I'd rather keep Cato. I actually like MoT, but in all honesty, [part of message edited b/c of the fear that the Bucks read this board]. If MoT and Cat get you Ray Allen, I say start Collier at the four. The playoffs aren't that important this year. Hell, they're falling out of our reach as we speak.

If you're going to take advantage of someone Rudy, Carroll... now's the time.

Fine. Give up either Taylor or Cato. They both have huge contracts. They play fairly well but not enough...

BUT THEN...we have a shortage. Griffin cannot handle it by himself. He can get in early foul trouble...and we will have Collier guarding Kevin Garnett or Amare Stoudemire or Tim Duncan or Chris Webber? Not a good idea...

BUT STILL. I WOULD LOVE TO DO THIS TRADE.

    Ray Allen.......:)

I'm not a big Taylor fan but I think trading him is a BIG mistake. He's our only other low post option besides Yao! If Yao is not there, or if he is having an off game, it will be nothing but dribbling and outside shots. Please, no more of that.

Chris R. is a friend of mine who works for Channel 2 news...I asked him about this trade rumor and he said to some degree when he spoke to CD this is not exactly just a rumor.

CD as always says they will stand pat but when Chris mentioned Ray allen CD changed the subject somewhat.

    The actual rumor is

Maurice Taylor and Cat and Cato for Ray Allen and a player to be named later.

Ray allen plays the 2 which would be mean Francis is stuck at the 3.

The problem I have with this trade is Cato is playing very well and to break up the Cat and Wink show could piss Francis off.
