I don't know about trading Luther Head, sure he may not be the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd option on our team, but the guy is clutch. I remember him taking big shots and making them for us during our bad times. I would love to see him hit a Mario Elie corner three and blow the kiss of death to Nash! (Wishful Thinking) I think he is an important part to us.
Trading any of our players for just picks is only an option with teams under the salary cap. I think there is only one left, New Orleans. We should let go or trade Snyder, Sura, Landry, JL3. Snyder = Harris, but Harris is a better shooter and can play some pf. You might substitute Butler or Novak for Landry if he shows something the rest of the preseason, but I really think both Butler and Novak are better long-term prospects. I really think Head will also prove more valuable then Stevie, who I still can't figure out what role he will play on this team.
Do ya'll really think we are gonna have an eleven or twelve man rotation? Hell no, it's gonna be 9 and maybe 10 when Deke/Butler are needed. Yao,T-Mac,Battier,Hayes,Alston, Francis,James,Scola,Wells is the nine man rotation, who is Head better than? No one on that list I'll take Brooks over Head if there is an injury (He can hit jump shots and can run the point) Snyder IMO has more upside, Harris in some matchups can be a help on D. JL3 is gone, so is Reed and Sura so trading Head (if you can get a first round pick) makes sense so that the final cut is Novak/Landry/Harris/Snyder/Butler not two of them
I agree with most of what you said. We probably only go nine deep, but Head might be an option for the rotation if SF doesn't work out or gets hurt. Snyder and Harris are serviceable, but I think Head may have more upside in Adelman's offense. Of course, I would trade anyone on the team for the right price. Anyway, it's moot as far as a draft pick goes unless it is coupled with another contract, because of the cba.
This is what I'm sayin. I'm not thinkin about regular season. We allknow we can win 50+ games this year even if one of ours main guys is hurt. I'm worried about the playoffs.
