why trade him now? and for getting nothing in immediate return? doesnt make any sense.

Luther is a good player, and although he is relatively one diminsional, it still helps to have him.

Like someone else said, its extremely shortsighted to trade him now...not to mention just kind of stupid to want to do it "now".

he is better than Novak, right now, I would not trade Luther for noting, but this team has some serious problems right now figuring out the rotation, with 11 or 12 legitimate NBA rotation players.

If by exposed you mean put a power forward guarding him (AK47). Utah beat us because they muscled up by putting 4 power forwards on the floor at the same time, kirelinko, harpring, boozer, and okur.

if you agree that Reed, Sura, JL3 are all gone than 2 of the next 3 are gone as well

    Novak
    Landry
    Harris

I would like to keep 2 of those 3 if I can get a first rounder for Luther since Luther #1 aint gonna play much #2 can be replaced via the NBA draft

Trading Luther heads up would be stupid, we wouldn't get value IMO. He supposedly fits well into the system, so who could we reasonably get for him that would fit into the system better? Furthermore, what would we have to package to make it a trade both parties would agree to.

Yelling "TRADE HIM!!!!11!" without a logical trade idea is foolish.

Let's be honest, Luther and rafer were a big reason why we lost last year. It was there poor defense and horrible shooting. I watched the series but I also checked the stats from our post season. shane t-mac and yao were all actually great. This happens to us every year, t-mac and yao do there jobs and there role players suck!! Maybe it was van gundy's sucky offense, IDK. But somebody has to go. I like luther but if you had asked me a couple of months ago I woulda been screaming for morey to trade him and rafer for another power forward. I juss want everyone to keep in mind that they both played well last pre and regular season but that did not help us against the jazz.

I personally want to keep Luther just because he's dangerous from outside.

This will help you feel better.

    Herbs for Depression and Anxiety
Chinese herbs used to relieve depression and anxiety all move the Liver QI (qi of the chest ). Taken alone, these herbs may exert only a mild effect. In certain combinations, however, the results can be quite powerful.

Chai hu, or bupleurum, is the best known of these herbs. Though it is classified as a surface relieving herb, which might be used for colds, etc., its most common use by far, is to move the qi of the chest (Liver QI). Its ability to do this is greatly enhanced by combining it with a small amount of mint (bo he).

He huan pi or he huan hua, mimosa bark or flower (albezzia) is classified as a heart nourishing herb. When combined with dan shen (salvia miltorrhiza), it strongly moves the qi of the chest.

Other herbs used in these formulas include poria (fu shen), red dates (hong zao), and wheat berries (fu xiao mai). Oyster shell (mu li), fossil bone (long gu), amber (hu pou), and loadstone (ci shi) are considered strong stabilizing agents, and are administered for limited periods of time to stablize the spirit.

I can't believe there are people on this forum that actually believe that Aaron Brooks is better than Luther.

AB has done nothing in the NBA and likely won't do anything. He is just too small. AB will always be a liability on defense no matter how good he plays somebody will always post him up and we will have to adjust to the other team. He will never be a starting PG, at best he will be a change of pace off the bench. You can't teach/learn size.

I also agree with those posters that think Luther will get more PT than Stevie.

ppl seem to forget that he led the league in 3 pt % for an extended period of time...i think it was for like a month to six weeks he held the highest percentage

And that's why we need to keep him. He's valuable player. No doubt

Luther was able to shoot 44% (4th best percentage in the league) while taking a much higher volume of shots than anyone on the team including Battier. Battier only picks certain situations to shoot his 3's. Also, Luther can hit from more spots on the floor with his 3's. Battier prefers the corner. Also, where are you going to find one of the 4 most accurate shooters in the league for Luther's rookie 1 million or so contract? Kapono got paid 6 million and he's a terrible defender who's main specialty is 3 point shooting. 3 point shooting will be valuable to our offense. We have a ton of scorers that like to penetrate, but not enough consistent 3 point shooters. Our other 3 point shooters are pretty streaky. Brooks has been struggling with his 3 point shot and I'm not sure we can count on him consistently in his first season. Head is a known commodity.

Also, I think we need to win now. This year will be probably the best year in terms of depth. How many other years will we get Francis and Bonzi to sign for small contracts, have Scola on a cheap 3 million dollar contract and Head on a rookie contract. Why not keep all our bullets in the chamber? We are loaded and our depth can overwhelm teams, while we are fresh....also in case there's injury we will have good players ready to take the injured player's place.

We need to get rid of Snyder, Lucas and Reed..... Butler too if it comes down to him and a more valuable player. I would like to see more of Mike Harris. There are some guys that sound good on paper and then there are other guys that just seem to have ability and make plays despite their size or what your preconcpetion of what an NBA body should look like. So far, Harris has played smart, scored well, play with energy.....I can see why Adelman was impressed with him. They should throw the idea of using guaranteed contracts out the window and just concentrate on who helps the team more. We need whatever the help we can get and we need to win now.

I don't have the edit feature....but I want to make clear that I meant that Head was the only one that was able to shoot such an accurate percentage at such a high volume. There was another Rocket that took a ton of shots, but was way less accurate.

Lack of fiscal responsibility will prevent a team from acquiring players in the future and will cost more wins as you won't be able to make a move for a stud when/if one becomes available.

Of course you have to respect Luther was a better 3-point shooter in the leauge and that was his 2nd year in the NBA.I really loved his clutch shoots.

But did you guys notice he wasn't able to play, to shoot that well against good teams like Dallas, Spurs or Suns. I mean he has still a lot to improve. First he's a shooter but he's a guard so he should drive more. He has to improve in his ball handlin'.

Even this year will be completly different for him. Why? Cause last year he was the only one guard who could be a backup for Rafer. And that was that. He didn't used to pass, to be the point guard. He loves to play off the ball I mean just find that open space to attempt the 3. This year he can do that. He doesn't have to worry about playmakin'.

What did SF3, Wells, Mike James, Aaron Brooks do last year to suggest that they were better than Luther.
