Hoopsworld is reporting that the Rockets are on of two teams talking with Orlando about trading for Travis Diener. Apparently, the Magic are looking for a big man and they are interested in Mutombo.

Diener played with Novak at Marquette and is a pretty good 3-point shooter himself, but I'm not sure if he'd be worth giving up Mutombo though. It would be good though if we could get another point guard good at shooting from behind the arc.

    Any thoughts?

this better be a joke. But it is hoopsworld, the basketball equivalent of the Onion (although the writers actually think they're writing real material) so it probably is.

Okey, so we are trading our only back up center to get the what? 13th shooting guard for this team? Doesn't make any sense.

For those who don't know, quoting rumors from other message boards is not looked upon favorably around here, especially if the other board is Hoopsworld which has no credibility whatsover. Most threads of this kind will get locked fairly quickly.

Not intentionally, but the stuff they say is so outlandish that it isn't too much of a stretch to say so. Obviously, it doesn't have the great sarcastic humor of the onion but the articles themselves are just as ludicrous.
