this is really weird.. I've heard this "Tmac should drive to the basket" and "Tmac should do more layups" things.. I just have 1 question: did y'all watch ANY games in 04-05 when we were a really good team ??? Tmac's strength has always been his shot, dont give me all that "drive to the basket" crap.. biggest example is the famous 13 in 35 game vs. SA.. watch the first play in the video .. Tmac goes on a layup but the ball doesn't touch RIM, Yao slams it back.. Tmac has had trouble since he came here driving to the basket because he seems to drive on his defender with the attitude of "I wanna outpower you and lay it up or dunk it on your face", he is trying to be too physical (using his shoulder and body power to go in instead of his quickness).. I think Tmac should consider going in with different "less contact" techniques (I think all the physical pounding caused him his back problems)..

y'all gotta remember that basketball "completes each other", what I mean by that is if you are a good shooter, people will jump when you fake a shot, that will make it much easier for u to go by them quickly and lay it up or dunk.. it goes the other way too, if you are really quick to the basket (lets say like, Ginobli), defender will always anticipate your quick move to the basket and play "off of u", that's when u fake a drive, step back, hit the J...

shooting and Driving to the basket "complement" each other.. you have to be good at both to be a superstar in the league.. and that's what Tmac is.. just give him more time and his game will eventually come around .

Finally they got Yao Ming's name listed correctly. But the roster for Rockets is not up to date.

I don't know what games you've been watching the past few years. He takes it to the basket too physically? I could not disagree more. If anything, he takes it too weakly. He jumps more away from the basket than towards it, shying away from contact, and he throws it toward the hoop hoping for a call that usually does not come.

And let's be serious. How many times have you seen him try to dunk on someone since he got here? Granted, the Bradley facial was awesome, but he hasn't played like that very much at all during any regular season. That is definately not a consistent part of his game anymore.

The only thing that made sense in his idotic post was that yao can lead us to a championship. i wanna see yao be the first option for the 1st 3 quarters. in the 4th let a restup tracy, takeover.
