I hope i'm seeing things because i'm starting to see what people discussed before about McGrady being lazy. Apart from a few drives to the basket and an occasional steal T-mac doesn't run, EVER !! When he loses the ball, doesn't get back and when he does he sprints a little. When a pass is intercepted he 'hops' back, when he's off the ball he stand around or walks, when a oppenents' screen is set and he feels his man is out of reach he waits for the rebound or takes a lazy jump, when a shot by some1 from the Rockets is missed he takes a little sprint back and never tries to catch his man if he's faster than him etc. My question is: why is he so lazy on the court and why doesn't RA get mad at him about it.
Also, I read a million times JVG was hard on his players and the defense was great, so was T-mac a part of this defense or also like he's now ?

I think this is ignored a bit because we are winning games and media, coaching staff and fans tend to overlook the superstars' weaknesses.
In the early days you would see guards like Maxwell & Elie constantly with a hand in his mans' face, always running back, contesting shots, running etc. McGrady doesn't do anything to show his energy, he really eyes lazy (doesn't know if this is right in English but in my language you say it like that) and never really shows emotion. Am I exaggerating or is this really how T-mac is ?

It's reality and i waited to post this because i wasn't sure but watch the Hawks game and you'll see almost everything i just posted. I'm not bashing him because he's a great player who can take shots, win games for us, step up in clutch moments, take control etc. but this is really a weakness. I just don't understand how he can get away with being lazy on D and he doesn't move around a lot on offense. Maybe there's a reason for it but it's something he definetly needs to change imo.

While others teams make trades and get better, this is what Rockets fans do.

LOL it is something that's hurting us and McGrady needs to work on to get better which will automatically make the team better. We don't need a trade so indeed this is what i do.

Talk about beating a dead horse. How many veiled trade tmac threads like this do we need on a consistent basis?

He is not lazy, he just does not want to do more than his job. You know he is only paid $20mil.

What's up with the trade talking ? I'm serious about this and want to know other people's opinion. Since everybody's only posting about why another thread etc. i can conclude you do not agree with this and do no think he's 'lazy'. Please post something insightful and not turn this into a 'you're a hater thread' or whatever. If nobody wants to talk about the issue please close the thread.

you're not a hater, just expressing your opinion. Maybe its all the first round letdowns that Mac has had and its all gotten to his head to the point its like "man i might never get out, might as well just chill and enjoy my $20 mil"

T-Mac and the team runs better when he's passing the ball. I have no problem with T-Mac shooting jumpers if he's open or driving into the lane if the defense allows it. So this is a silly bashing thread on T-Mac.

I like the way he's playing within the system but there's still his body movement which is concering, most importantly on D. I'm just saying that it showes in his whole style of play the way he plays D. Please check the Hawks go and see for yourself. In the 3rd quarter he passes the ball to Rafer i think and the pass is intercepted where he doesn't get back. Also in the first half a screen is set and he get around the screen but realizes he can't catch up so let's the guy take the show and waits for the rebound. Also one time i saw his man running to get open and T-mac walked backwards and the Hawks' teammates saw that he was open he would've gotten an open look. It's all in the benefit of the team if this is adressed which i think is not adressed at all by the coaching staff. RA and co. have to see this too right ?

Another TMac thread by an idiot YOF.

Seriously though, CLUTCH needs to start banning these idiotic bashing threads. Can you imagine if 5 Yao bashing threads started popping up daily? The Chinese gov't would shut this site down!

The guys are really something with all those nice abbreviations. I don't care if you think i don't like T-mac and if i come off that way then sorry but if you would actually watch a game you would see it. Maybe i exaggerated which i also stated in my first post but i was just wondering if i was the only one seeing it. Maybe it is just me, i don't know so that's why i started the thread. I haven't been very long on this forum and i don't read every thread and i never saw this being discussed so.

In fact it is. I have watched maybe two games of the Raptors and some highlights but that's it. This is first 'year' i've followed him on a team so yes.
I conclude from your post you agree with me ?
