I coulda sworn there were some folks on here who live in or have lived in Toronto (Macbeth, maybe?)

On the way back from Hong Kong, I am stopping in Toronto. These are free tickets so I got screwed on the interconnect, so I arrive in Toronto at 1pm and fly out at 7:30 that night.

I was debating just spending the night there since I have never been. However it will be late January, which is probably the coldest part of the year.

Is it worth getting a hotel and spending a half day / night in Toronto or will I be better off just sucking it up and taking the night flight back to Houston?

I was in Toronto for a week during mid-January one time. It snowed every single day, and about 60% of each day. There were mountains of shovelled snow everywhere. No amount of outerwear and woolen sweaters could prevent the cold gusts from negotiating all these layers and effectively freezing my ass off. I would go straight back to Houston. :p
