We all know Macgyver would be able to build a Nuclear Bomb with an Ipod and toothpaste, so stop joking. This is dead serious.
I went through the IAH xray over the weekend with my wallet in my pocket and thought I was gonna get tazed. Old wrinkled battle-axe TSA slut started hollering and trying to get in my face. Then I had to do whole crotch grab and explosives swab....held up the line for 5 minutes. Butt Paste is dead serious.
Some toothpastes have potassium nitrate- but I doubt that was their concern. It's not the toothpaste, it's the fact that the it's a gel-like substance in a container calling it toothpaste. I have a feeling terrorists aren't exactly the best ones at telling the truth.
Uh, no, sir. I'm talking about anyone complaining that things are being confiscated for anything. The toothpaste, the brass knuckles, etc. The OP then realized it also applied to toothpaste. Still, why do you need toothpaste or anything else besides your identification or clothes ON BOARD? Leave it in the luggage! You can wait until you're off the plane to brush your teeth, or moreover, if it's a container whose ingredients you don't know are in the list that you can't take with you.
I'm just trying to imagine what a toothpaste bomb would be like, LOL. I imagine it as everyone in the plane being covered with toothpaste
They won't take the time to check the entire contents of the toothpaste tube... but... yes, it seems funny that you could make a bomb... or protect them from future cavities ALL OVER THEIR FACE.
you mean the 2 centimeter brass knuckle pendant that was on the chain around the neck of an active duty, combat veteran army ranger who has attained the rank of major? this is the guy you would want to give a real pair of brass knuckles to when boarding a plane...not try to steal his necklace.
So you can't take anything more than 3 oz. Like a person can't take whatever they want split between 3oz bottles in a baggy and make whatever he wants at the end of the day. The TSA rules are all things to give you a false sense of security at the end of the day. If someone wants to do something they can easily do it. The thing is a lot of people like myself don't check in bags all the time. If you are going on a short trip no point in checking it in. Also with almost everyone except southwest (who I fly with) charge you extra money to check bags in so they are trying to save money. paying $25 each way to have your baggage ships is a joke.
