Tommy Hienson makes me sick. He is and always has been the single most biased announcer. Every foul against the Celtics is a bad call, every foul for the Rockets is a bad call. Every time the Celtics misses a shot it is because a Rocket fouled him. Every Rockets point should have been an offensive foul. I am thankfull that he turned down the Rockets head coaching job back in the Twin Towers days. Listening to the Celtics broadcast has always been painfull especially when the Rockets lost to the Celtics in the 86 finals and still so today.
According to Tommy thats true. But of course most of his calls were on target. I noticed Tommy H did not complain with all of the non calls against Paul Peirce like the one that fouled out Artest.
I cannot stand Tommy, he is annoying. I almost have to mute the game because he pisses me off so much. Bill is much more fair when he calls games.
You guys should see the Wizards TV crew. They flat-out say it when the Wizards get bogus calls against the Rockets. It's like they're under oath or something.
I've just recently moved and had to get the league pass so this was the first time I heard him announce. The entire time I was thinking this has to be the biggest d0uche of an announcer I have ever heard.
Is this the commentator in the celts vs rox game? man, That was the most biased, BS, pathetic, annoying, F**kin commentating I've ever heard!! "Gabe Pruitt is the man!!!" "Ron Artest should have been fouled out several time this season" "The referee wearing red tinted glasses, thats not an offensive foul!" "Cmon Celtics, make this trip count!" maaan..that was unbelievable and almost unbearable to watch, but looking at Houston won a dramatic victory that night, boy, in your face Tommy!
Heinson is a serious D-bag. I remember catching that playoff game where Jordan score 63 on the celtics...the moron couldn't bring himself to compliment Jordan once except when he scored his 60th point I believe and he sadly said 'wow'.
Well to his credit he DID give Yao some "tommy points" for diving on the floor in the 1st quarter, lol...
The guys who do the Thunder broadcasts are terrible, but at least they have the excuse that it's their first year. Two things I remember from the Rox game there a couple of months ago: * One of the guys said Nick Collison was "WAY better than Scola." * Same guy got bent out of shape on an "obvious" goal-tending non-call against the Rockets, and claimed the slow-mo replay proved his point. His broadcast partner told him that NBA rules say it's okay for block a ball against the glass, as long as you block the ball BEFORE it hits the glass (as opposed to AFTER). The clueless guy said, "So that's the NBA rule? I wasn't aware of that." Douchebag!
well at some point in the first, Bull said that "Big Baby(I think thats who it was, but not 100%) is so big that even when he just trips you, you take a hard fall." wtf? that doesn't make sense. unless the player pushes you to the ground, the size of the player tripping you should not make a difference. Its called acting, and its rampant in the nba.
This guy is trash. At one point tonight I actually turned the TV down because he was annoying. The play by play guy was pretty fair though. I especially liked how he said Pierce was playing good D when he flopped on Ron early in the game. What a D O UCHE. Honestly I do love that about Bill. He tells it like it is and will admit if our guys get away with one and give oter player's their due.
