Created by popular demand (or at least one demand), this is a poll to answer the question about what the default position for a toilet seat should be. This is assuming that members of both genders are using the toilet, and that it should be left in this position after use.
Depends on who else is in the house. If I'm in a chick's house, then ALWAYS leave it down. If i'm in a guy's house, then up. If there are equal number of men and women in the house, then it's your call. Personally, I'm an up guy myself.
You need to leave it up in a public restroom so the lazy ass behind you doesn't pee all over the seat.
Seat down and lid closed. Isabel, not to hijack your thread but....Hey, here's an interesting question.... Does your toilet porcelin base have "legs" on the side of it? This has always perplexed me. Exactly why does my toilet base have legs? Is it going to walk away? What the hell!?!? Anyone else's have legs?
If the seat is down and I don't check the next female gets wet. If the seat is up and the next female doesn't check, she falls in. Either way it's the female that gets screwed so if I were female I would assume the responsibility to keep the seat up.
Ya know.... many women complain about how men handle the toilet seat. This is because those women either a) drop their pants and sit down when the seat has been left up, allowing the woman to drop their butt into the toitlet bowl. and/or b) drop their pants and sit down on a toilet seat that has pee on it Either way, they get no sympathy from me, and here's why: If a person (male or female) is dumb enough to drop their pants and sit their bare ass on something (anything) without at least looking at it first, they deserve what they get.
hmm haven't thought about this actually. upon further investigation, i leave it in whatever position I found it in.
I can't believe so many people leave the seat AND the lid down. Then you have to constantly pick the lid up. That sucks. Plus when you put the lid down sometimes you forget to flush, which causes an awkward moment the next time somebody uses that pot. Nothing like lifting the lid to find a bucket of snakes that the last person left.
My opinion is: leave it the way you found it. If you found it with both closed, leave it that way. If you found it with both up, put them both back up (assuming you had to put them both down in the first place). BTW, it's good chi to leave both down.
In my home I have the seat down and lid on, but that's because my cat loves quenching his thirst with toilet water. Otherwise, I like to mark my territory, seat down with urine on top.
Yep, me too... And she looked so wronged when she fell into the toilet... good thing it was clean at the time.
Exactly. My cats wants to drink from the toilet and shower stall even though they have plenty of clean water. Why are they like that?
