That's a decent lineup. If that lineup can stay healthy we should be able to win some games assuming Bonzi can provide needed scoring off the bench
The 04-05 Tmac from the Dallas series is a top 5 player. If he was healthy he could be now. D-Wade, LeBron and T-Mac are probably the best all around players there are when healthy. He is a better defender than Kobe, a better playmaker and distributor, less selfish, has a way better attitude and he is as clutch as they come. In that Dallas series he totally shut down Dirk and carried the team on offense and hit the game winning shot in game 2.
Unfortunately, that extra strain of that year... and the subsequent off-season regimen he undertook as a result of the 40 point blowout against Dallas... is what helped hasten the back problems he'd already had.
I believe when healthy, he is a notch above Lebron. Definitely above ref-lover, Dwade. Only Kobe, it can be argued is a better scorer. But Tmac's attitude and passing more then make up for it.
I think even the Magic-clone TMAC we saw the first 20 games is a top 20 player in the NBA. Once Yao and Bonzi are 100% that is all we may need.
I'm happy with that Tmac, but I was spoiled by the Tmac we saw against Dallas. Actually I think at this point all we can hope for is any kind of Tmac as long as he is on the floor.
Exactly Even if he doesn't score the ball enough, he will help get shots for others who can't get their own (Shane, Juwan, Chuck, Novak)
Tmac needs to be lying on his belly on the side lines... with a heat pack on his back... 1 hour before a game... lying on his belly on the side lines when he is resting on the bench... lying on his belly on the side lines inbetween periods... lying on his belly on the side lines and after he finishes a game... who knows loosening up his back may not help... but it cant hurt... and alot better then him sitting on a hard chair....
sloppy joe sandwich please with peanut butter and mayonaise on rye bread dooms day is coming, i've seen some signs everywhere!
What? Are you trying to blame Tmac on Yao's injury? What kind of logic is that? What about imagining that if Tmac has started every game, we would be 20-9 by now?
i was at the game tonight and t-mac stretched out on the floor and never sat on the bench when he wasn't in the game and during timeouts. i guess he took some notes from steve nash. He looked alright but definitely not in game shape yet. i also got some great pics which i'll post later.
