Watching the Rockets tonight was so intense. Yao had an off night due to killer D from the wolves, but he can get away with that because he's been doing well all season. TMAC, I don't understand why he keeps jacking up shots when he's off. There was several plays where he had the lane open to make a drive or he's about to make a drive, then suddenly, just stop and shoot a jumper. I don't understand why he see that YAO is having difficulty scoring due to double team and triple team, but he won't step up to the plate. I know they will bounce back on Friday, but man, TMAC is fustrating sometimes.

He is a panzy.......and before when challenged he would attack, now, he just settles.....very dissappointing.

Why can't he at the very least drive the lane and get fouled like Wade always does for the heat?

Umm...no. Yao doesn't get a pass nor does McGrady for this game.

The two captains sank the boat tonight, stop trying to deflect blame because you like one player over the other.

Wade gets splattered all over the floor every game. Tracy is afraid to do that because he doesn't want to injure himself...

    thank you.

yao missed way too many point blank shots, did not work hard for deep post position, and was passive on the boards. tmac saw the wolves' zone defense, tried to pull up for midrange shots, but couldn't knock them down. our turnover's as a whole, were the final nail in the coffin as we gave away far too many possessions.

these problems are fixable, so i wouldn't worry too much. just had a bad game.

It's not that i'm favoring one player over another...it just fustrating because TMAC is not the same guy no more. He settles for jumpers too much, even when he's off. It just my opinion, and if you think i'm favoring one guy over another, then that's your opinion, but obviously you don't get it.

After his performance tonight I might have to start calling him Tradecy McGrady.

i kinda expected he'd have a bad game since he had a good game yesterday. t-mac cant consistently play well anymore. yao can only do so much. luther made and rafer made some big shots but we can't expect that every night. t-mac wont drive because he already has the mentality that he can't be explosive anymore. plus he doesnt wanna get injured.

I don't have a problem with T-Mac taking lots of shots. But when more than 90% of his shots are outside 15 feet, there's something wrong.

In the 3rd quarter and early in the 4th, he should've realized that going hard to the basket is what he needs to do since his shot is not falling.

Referees are beginning to realize he's a jump shooter as well, so he earns less respect from them now too.

He needs to take the mind set that he's going to go right to the basket everytime, unless he's ridiculously wide open. Trying to outjump your man when he's stuck to you is not the way to go about it.

The only guy who can penetrate to the basket on our team is T-Mac, followed by Spanoulis a distant 2nd, and no one evern worth mentioning at 3rd.

Shooting is something we do well - Battier and Head are excellent shooters, while Padgett and Alston do a pretty good job too.

For passing, we have Alston, Battier, Spanoulis, Head, Yao, and Juwan - all capable passers at their respective positions.

T-Mac has to realize that right now, he's doing nothing. He's going to get hot once in a while, like the GS game, but that's not enough. If he's not going to be a top notch scorer, then he needs to put up something other than 6 assists with 3 TO's to make up for it. Play better D. Get more steals, more blocks. PENETRATE. PASS BETTER. Rebound more.

He's too content right now. He's happy with not carrying the load. He's happy not going to the basket, and taking his chances with his jumper.

What do we really need from T-Mac? Same passing, rebounding and defense as previous seasons. What we really need from him is to penetrate at will, and through that create either a high % shot for himself, or high % shots for his teammates.

Even when he was pouring in 32ppg for Orlando, he was dishing out 5 assists. Who says he has to sacrifice scoring for passing? You know what he needs to sacrifice? Poor shot selection.

That's it. That's the only thing. This team is terriffic. But it would be the best team in the league if T-Mac was more aggresive in getting better shots. I really can't see anyone beating us if T-Mac is just constantly abusing the defense with penetration.

You remember the game we played against Cleveland?

Lebron was missing jump shots one after another, and he still didn't want to make a drive. That's just like what Tmac doing tonight.

It is not just Tmac's problem. Cleveland fans must be upset with Lebron's performance too.
I mean, what's going on with these "superstar" players?

He has to at least force the Refs to blow the whistle and take it to the basket. Even if it means getting his shot blocked or getting called for a charge. He's playing like he's afraid to break a nail or something.

Our two stars played an off game, so why didn't the coach spread the shots around more to other guys like Head, Shane, and maybe even a Novak. I know the play book has some plays for the role players too. Can we say that Yao and T-mac were tired after playing 3 Qs yesterday?

They all just try to be like Kobe who actually makes his jumpshots.

I believe Jeff Van Gundy should publicly call Tradecy out. To make him feel embrassed, if he really want to help the team win, then play with passion!

Good question. Follow up question is: Why the heck didn't JVG ask Tmac to drive inside?

JVG said in public 2 or 3 times recently that tmac should attack the basket, but not in a harsh way.

    two words:

    complacent

    &

    content

and they should never be used to describe a "superstar."

Totally agree, every team has its bad nights, so will this houston team...I don't feel that because of one loss, we should be so harsh on our two stars.
