I notice a definite drop off in user activity and a spike in doom and gloom. I like that I do a daily post so I write regardless of if we've won or lost. I probably write it with a little less enjoyment after a loss, but it does help keep things in perspective. I don't like reading GARM after a loss because it's so knee-jerk reactionary.
Are you kidding me? the funniest stuff are posted after a loss. I come here for the comedy after a loss.
Its just come to a point for me where I check less and less on the forums after a loss. Only to see whose fault it was this time. A player can have 5 good games in a row (and is eventually to have a bad one because not every player can be Kobe and a half, not even he has a good game every night) and then have his bad game and now he is the worst player ever! Trade him!! Oh TD is past dump his arse! Kinda getting old honestly.
The only thing you get to see after a loss is band wagon people who have nothing important to say. All they do is cry and bleed all over themselves.
lol, I guess I didn't think of it lie that. A comedy relief eh? Does it ever go to far though? To where you aren't laughing? Eh?
Sometimes I do. When we win, we're the greatest basketball team ever assembled. When we lose....trade the whole team, Adelman sucks, Yao sucks blame Tmac, fire Morey. Rational thought seems to escape a lot of people.
Yes I come here after a loss. It makes me laugh reading some of the stuff. After we loss to the Lakers someone suggested that Von Wafer should start over Yao. Another person said we stopped LeBron because he was slow, and that we couldn't stop Kobe because he's fast. And It's not that serious.
I have a problem with wanting to pick fights with all the knee-jerk idiots, so I use my better judgment and typically steer clear. Besides, there's so many people posting so much crap that any good posts get drowned in the deluge of junk responses, so what's the point?
I might be rookie by listing but I've been checking clutchfans for years. When I was overseas and NBA.com was acting up, I could come here to know who won: If us - (updated) appreciation threads or If we lost - blow it up. One thing for sure, a lot here react to the moment as if it's life and death, and it really isn't, just appreciate our team and support them because the rockets will still be around when we're all gone. Go Rockets!!!
I definitely wait for all the Knee-Jerk reactions to subside before I come back to the board. No use arguing with people on who's fault it was we lost and why we should blow it up...I mean sometimes I think Clutch should screen these threads right after losses.
I come here after a loss for 2 reasons. 1) To see how badly Tmac gets the blame, even thought he didn't play. 2) To here people already talk about next year..... even though its march.
As someone responsible for that deluge, let me say that I do try to keep it confined to the especially worthless threads that won't be ruined by my post.
I hate the 20+ repetitive rookie threads all under the topics of - "Don't you miss rafer?" (There have been numerous threads about this with identical titles) - "Lowry need to start" - "Brooks is not a point guard/starter" - "Wafer/Ron is ruing this team" etc
It's nothing against Clutchfans specifically, I avoid all news about the Rockets. I saw them lose, and it broke my heart. I don't want relive it again. I know that makes me kinda sensitive, but that's who I am!
I have noticed that there tends to be a correlation between knee-jerk thread starters and ample use of bad English grammar. Not always, but a correlation.
