Anyone now what these guys do when the game is about to tip off and they are still holding tickets? Usually, brokers/scalpers start to feel the heat right before game time but I have never tried with the Rox. Would they rather swallow their pride and get 1/2 of their money back or would they eat the whole thing to spite a fan getting an awesome deal? It would seem you could pick up a sweet deal at 7:30. Anybody got any experience?
The Rockets can't even sell out one game so I dont know why you even need to go to a scalper. You can buy 10 dollar tickets at ticketmaster and then move to better seats during the game. I wouldnt even waste your money with a broker right now while no one shows up. ------------------ Rockets Season Ticket Holder
You can buy $10 tickets??? I thought the minimum was bumped up to 30-35. What's up? ------------------
There really aren't any bad seats in the Compaq Center and as I stated previously there are so many open seats at the game that you can get a better one. http://www.nba.com/rockets/arena.html is where you can see the prices for each seat. ------------------ Rockets Season Ticket Holder
Bingo. Every time I've been to a Rockets game, that what I've done: buy the nosebleed seat, and then move down to take a primo seat that is being unused. No harm, no foul. ------------------ "Don't blame me. I think I voted for Gore." -Florida bumpersticker
Speaking as someone who used to get nearly ALL his concert tickets at the Summit about halfway through the opening act's set, I can tell you that deals are rampant. The last Rockets game I got a "brokered" (scalped!) ticket for was back in 1993 and I got the middle section upstairs about 5 rows back for about $15 because the team had already been introduced and I got to my seat about 2 minutes into the game. You can get good deals if you are willing to miss some of the first quarter. I know that others I've spoken to have gotten lower prom seating for under $30 after tipoff, but you have to be willing to wait it out. ------------------ Time for a new clause.
