I'M A GIT! What a win... ------------------ "Rarely is the question asked: Is our children learning how to put food on their family while being put to death."

you're a troll....idiot...loser...etc. heehee ------------------ Whitey will pay. [This message has been edited by rimbaud (edited March 07, 2001).]
We've got a lot of games left, man. Let's win the ones we should and most of the others, the games against the top teams, and let's see where we are. I say we'll be squarely in the hunt. Go Jazz* ------------------
You know, I admitted when I was wrong. Heypartner, Rimbaud, you are trolls for being so insulting over it. I was completely right about the fact that the Rockets played a horrible first half. I have the right to express my opinions. If you read my original post om the "next year" thread, you'll see that I said "even if they win", I would still be disappointed in the effort they put into the game. They played a horrible first half, but I was still prepared for a possible win. Anyway, I was wrong about the out-of-playoffs, two year thing, but that first half of ball was just ugly to watch. I don't know what the point of a bulletin board is, if one is not allowed to express opinions freely. I resent you for insulting me because of my opinions. Debating is fine, but there's no need to be so rude to me. Anyway, I thought the second half was brilliant, and the Rockets really regained that heart they were missing. This is a big win, and could lead to big things if Hakeem and Mo recover. ------------------ "Rarely is the question asked: Is our children learning how to put food on their family while being put to death."
ZRB, your problem is that you are way too reactionary. I'll bet you go nuts watching a baseball game, alternating between loving or hating your team based on balls or strikes. learn to see the big picture before reacting. Like The Cat said, just believe in the Rockets till they are mathematically eliminated. ------------------ Behad Sergeant at Arms of the Clutch BBS
I can't stand baseball! You're right, I am too reactionary. To be honest, posting on this site kind of relieves my stress from Rockets basketball. ------------------ "Rarely is the question asked: Is our children learning how to put food on their family while being put to death."
ZRB, Remember this thread? http://bbs.clutchcity.net/ubb/Forum3/HTML/011583.html ZRB wrote: "Now you're just being a git, Mango...." ZRB wrote: "....Its a British term for idiot or dumbass, I think." I have a question for you to answer. Its OK for ZRB to insult others, but its wrong to insult ZRB? Start thinking of a new moniker because ZRB is going to be worthless on this BBS. I'm sorry about that Mango. You're right, I am being hypocritical. I do think that I recieve insults from other posters more than I dish them out. Still, I must apologize for calling you a git. At the time, I thought you were trying to kill that thread, but I was wrong. ------------------ I'm the most positive Rocket fan in the world.
ZRB, If you were posting negative things about the Rockets on a Jazz BBS, then you would be popular. Showing a constant negative attitude on a Rockets fan site will surely get you in trouble. You have complained about coaching, heart/desire and so forth over the course of your stay on this BBS. Sometimes a complaint is valid, but you seem to focus on only the negative things. Lets look at some of the Western Conference teams that are above or near the Rockets in the standings. Blazers....mega payroll with mainly a veteran rotation Jazz.......veteran team that is slowly running out of time to win big with the current crew. Lakers.....they have the most dominant center in the game and one of the top SG, yet are not a sure bet to repeat and plenty of negative undercurrents are flowing in the locker room Spurs......veteran team with probably the best combo at the 4 + 5 in the league. Once there run is over, who knows what will happen. Suns.......Kidd and Marion, but still a donut team after all of these years. They wouldn't mind moving Googs and/or Penny, but likely stuck with both. Not that far ahead of the Rockets who have gone through an extensive remodel in the past 2 years. Kings......Have probably the best PF in Webber, yet is somewhat soft at center with an aging Divac and a roller coaster PG in JW. Unsure about Chris's decision this summer Nuggets.....Coach Dan is probably on shaky ground and the franchise has been stagnant in the standings for several years. Twolves....KG and a bunch of role players. Due to the illegal Joe Smith deal, will struggle to make it to the next level. Dallas.....Everything was supposed to be in place when they had the three J's, but that fell apart. Even before that when they had Roy T, but that also went down the drain. Everything seems to be pointed in the right direction, but they have many years of blah befoe this time of plenty. So many teams out there have "issues" to deal with, some more and some less than the Rockets. The Rockets are relatively young and still growing. Have faith. For everything negative that you can find about Rudy and his team, look for something positive to offset it and cheer yourself up. The future looks really good.......... Who are the three J's and who is Roy T. ------------------ The next time I have meat and mashed potatoes, I think I'll put a very large blob of potatoes on my plate with just a little piece of meat. And if someone asks me why i didn't get more meat, ill just say, "Oh, you mean this?" and pull out a big piece of meat from inside the blob of potatoes, where ive hidden it. Good magic trick, huh?
Dallas was loaded then. ------------------ President of the Steve Francis, Jamal Crawford,Larry Hughes, and Charles Woodson fan club.
When they had Roy or the 3 J's? What was the backcourt when Roy was playing for Dallas? Was it Rolando and D Harper? Mango ------------------ Get it right or just don't do it! Special Assignment: ZRB Patrol
ZRB, Not that my opinion means much, but I think this is just a matter of temperament. I had to watch Sacramento-Phoenix. (I live in Iowa. No League Pass. Nothing! In a "city" of 65,000. Go figure.) It was great to watch the comeback against the team we want to depose for the playoff spot; but I didn't think it would happen. Great game. TNT (or was it TBS? I get'em mixed up) kept flashing the scores from other games. The early score for Houston-Atlanta made my eyebrows soar: Damn! Was that a typo? What's going on? But I didn't get too worked up. It was early. There was time yet. I think, maybe, just suppress your initial reaction a little and let things unfold. We came back against the Dic --- er, the Knicks; and the officials were trying to hand NY that game. So we can certainly come back against sucky teams. The most important thing, you have the number one quality that a human being should have and that we all share here: you badly want the Rockets to win. Can't fault that. ------------------
I'll try and save my reactions until after the game. You make great points. Thanks for understanding! ------------------ I'm the most positive Rocket fan in the world.
