"You recently failed jury duty. Can be subject to $1,000 fine, etc."

They don't ever really fine anyone do they?

Obviously you're not a true citizen.

I've been told in the past that since they don't send the summons by registered mail, they can't really ever prove that you received them. So I doubt they would fine someone.

I have shown up a couple of times before. I supposed to go now Feb 6 but I'm already taking off the 5th. I guess I could postpone it but I really don't want to go at all.

If you call up with any excuse at all and offer to reschedule, they'll usually do it.

What if you have already rescheduled it via internet? I guess that would prove that you got the original summons. I should have just skipped it without rescheduling. :(

I've heard that if you skip twice, they just throw your name back in the pool. But if you skip the 3rd time, that's when they fine you and/or put out a warrant?

you can only reschedule twice. after that you MUST show up. it's no biggie, just remember that you have to be full of hate that day.

any case they put in front of you, for example a construction worker suing for an on job injury, just say you hate construction workers for whatever reason. one of the lawyers will drop you on the spot and you ge to go home after one day.
