interesting. I can’t gleam anything from his stats in China last year, but he’s 7 feet, only 27, and appears to have improved his long range shooting. We don’t have a true rim protector on this team and Adams admitted yesterday that he’s still recovering from his injury. I like the idea of bringing Maker into camp. Why not!

I think he played in the Lebanese league, too, from the looks of it. In 5 games of a recent season, he shot ft's great (over 80%), shot the 3 better than Reed Sheppard (lol... over 53% on 15 attempts). He was shooting over 44% on those 3's in another season/league/whatever they do. These are FIBA 3's, though. Still - pretty good, I guess. Maybe. Eh, I'm convinced. START HIM!

There is a loose Sudan connection.

Thon was born there and Royal Ivey is the coach of South Sudan national team.

He's a great passer and he can score but he's really small.

Here's the highlights of his game where he set the NCAA tournament record with 19 assists. Theis win put them in the Elite 8.

For the Rockets, he'll serve the valuable purpose of being the one who we eventually cut or include in a trade, only to have CFers say Stone made a gigantic mistake.

Familiar with Jack McVeigh I believe

I approve of this move....until we find better......maybe we won't find better.

38.8% from three on 4.2 attempts. Allows Rockets to go "Hampton-5" around 15 to
    20 minutes a game:

Jalen Green - Cam Whitmore - Tari or McVeigh - Jabari - Thon Maker
    ......(6'5")..............(6'7")........................(6'8").............(6'11").........(7'0")

That's a tall athletic lineup: everyone dribbles, passes, screens for one another, rebound,
block shots, get steals, shoot 3's.

Keep him for depth purposes and he will be cheap. Low risk high reward move.

Love RS work ethic. I didnt want this dude prior the draft and I was definitely wrong on that one.

Low risk low reward. He wont play unless something went horribly wrong. We have Sngun/Adams/Landale at center and Jabri/Green/Macveigh at PF. Landale can also play PF and Green can also play Center in worst case scenario.

Also didnt Maker have the age issue? He could arguably be 31 already.

Just out of curiosity, have we ever brought in a low risk/high reward guy who actually delivered the high reward?

Hmmm, McVeigh and Maker. Interesting cast of characters being assembled.
