I love it when it is raining, not storming just raining. I just hate going to work when it is. Rain time is some damn good sleep/rest weather.
I love the rain. This is one of the things I love most about Houston...serious ass thunderstorms. In my office...or at home...coffee...jazz music...and the sound of the rain hitting on the roof. I freaking love that!!! BRING IT!!!
And yet I still have to go to school, take a test, go to work and fill in for my boss, and go back to school tonight.... GRRRRR!!!
The weather service has already issued tornado watches for most of our area...again. Tomorrow the sun will shine!
I too love storms. Love how Houston gets them. When I grew up in Saudi I used to love the storms there. It would rain around winter time (like once or twice a year) and when it rained, it poured. The desert around us would be one giant lake. It was so awesome. Streets flooded etc. But it sucks when You have to drive through it.
Nasty nasty storms northeast of Round Rock now. Bizarre how strong storms are just popping up in no time swst of Austin.
I agree. Give me the wind and heavy rains over 110 degree sunny days anytime! I  thunderstorms.
you people going to school should have gone to a university with the whole week off..... oh how good it is to be back in texas
looks like i'm waiting til wednesday! i refuse to drive slow on my way to and from school/home. i like to put the cruise on 85. except when i'm going through giddings. i creep through that hell-hole. but i always stop at Buckees.... it's a tradition. i dont know why. and how did this go from a "this weather sucks" post to a "my driving home from school habits" post??? weird. and lame. [milli vanili]blame it on the rain.[/milli vanili] PS.... i too love this weather. classes (and work!!!) were cancelled yesterday. a couple of us threw down on a handle of vodka, some khalua, half & half and sipped on white russians all night. and bloody maries too. listening to some jazz.
Just want to join the chorus of thunderstorm enthusiasts. Even when our house got hit by a tornado last year, I still enjoyed the storm. It's a lot more work when you're trying to cover broken windows but there is something truly magnificent about storms.
