Alexander can't get time at Washington, so if you put him in Sac, he might be able to get some time behind Christie. Was has a need for a point guard and mateen is a "true" point guard. Collier will just be an addin to make the trade work so that Was can drop him. They've been waiving everyone else like Mitch Richmond's 10 million dollars. The only bad part of this trade is giving away Torres, but Wallace could make up for him.
I doubt Washington wants to trade their rookie center that has been playing extremely well, along with their very talented young swingman for a 3rd string center, and a PG that had to be packaged with a 1st round pick, just to get Jon Barry.
Why would washington trade Haywood? He is one of the reason why they're winning. He's avg 7pt 7rebs and 2 blks in 24 min. Houston had their chance when all washington gave up was Tracy Murray for Haywood. Jordan or whoever has done a great job getting rid of those large contracts and stockpiling young talent. After this season look for them to make a run at Miller for Cleveland or our very own Franchise to run that team. With Haywood, Brown, and Hamilton, they are a point guard away from being a very good team in a couple of yrs, maybe even next yr at their present growth rate.

Just to set the record straight, Cleaves was not packaged with a first rounder to get Jon Barry. Detroit got Jon Barry and a first rounder for Mateen Cleaves. Not that that means Cleaves is good, but it does mean Detroit is good at making trades (at least recently).

Wallace would be nice to get, but the question is, will the Kings still trade him after his big game the other night? In Peja's absence a few days ago he scored 20 points, grabbed 9 boards, and also got 3 steals in just 25 minutes of action. Now Sacramento fans are declaring him "The next Tracy McGrady!"
He's a super athelete, but McGrady had super handles for a while which is why he's considered one of the top players. Wallace has a long way before he catches McGrady and whats bad is they took atheleticism over system player. Something we should have done instead of taking a guy like Collier
i guess it has never occured to anyone that gerald wallace isn't that good of a basketball player. he can't shoot, isn't a good passer, is an overrated defender, can't shoot foul shots, and isn't a great ballhandler. he can't even hold oscar torres jock strap much less Cat's.... and he wont get that many minutes behind him anyways
No deal. Haywood is Jordan's prize...he won't part w/the kid who has been tearing it up (even with taped thumb)...he's one of their building blocks along w/Hamilton and Kwame. In fact, Jahdi probably won't be going anywhere either. Why do we need Wallace? Why would SAC trade for Walt w/the Peja and Turk? Thinking up trades that help our team is great, but u need to think why the other teams would be willing to do it also. Granted its not an easy thing to do as a fan, but this one has little to no chance of happening.

Wallace has some talent, give him time. McGrady looked like a scrub his first year in the league.
