eattomuch: your wrong. youve been proven wrong by two articles. theres also a commercial for espn the magazine where a woman says "the chinese goverment can stick that 50% up their--" you lose.
Man, one sympathetic comment for Yao and you guys turn it into this big of an argument? My post isn't even about the 50%, it's about the lame coaches and teammates of Yao not getting him the ball!!
Eattoomuch. Timeout. You have proved you are very cocky on an internet message board already. Please shut up now. Thanks.
eattoomuch, you're really looking like the fool. 1. You've got ZERO facts to back your statement up. While the articles may have been biased to show China as an oppressive state with hardly any basis in fact, they have stated they have their sources. Where are yours? As if the Chinese media is any more trustworthy than the US media? Until Yao gets over here and he leaks that <50% of his salary does go to China, you should cool it until you have some facts to back yourself with. Those articles are as close as we can get to the real truth. I'm sure the CBA and the NT have read those same articles quoted above and would've objected in a most serious manner had they been untrue. But so far, not a peep out of them. Which makes the most sense presently? Can you get that point of view into your thick skull? Now, if you wanna argue, PM. Anyhow, back to the actual topic. Those guards seem to have something against Yao the last game. They repeatedly refused to pass inside when Yao was in there and in position. As if the drive and wraparound dish (or even more fundamental: the lob) are unseen in the CBA. Those guards are very shameful in the way they acted, not thinking or thinking only of themselves by attempting so many boneheaded shots that only a Pierce or Walker or Iverson would attempt. This was a great chance to behead the cocky US dragon had they been coached at all. That Chinese coach took timeouts in all the wrong times when the game was already out of reach. Worse, I don't see him yelling at the guards to pass inside. Had they won the game, ALL of them would've gone down in the annals of basketball history. Aarrrgh, it was very frustrating to watch. The Chinese coach should resign in shame and let someone else coach.
Yao will be a great player! Next season, he will strenthen the defence of Rox at first. You should have noticed that when he on the court, nobady of the all-star players can get across him or shoot front of him!
We all seem to be upset by Yao having to give 50% or whatever to the Chinese govt., but have any of the hard working Americans on this board taken a look at their paycheck. We are giving at least 50% when you figure State, Local, Property, Social Security, Federal, and Sales taxes. Not to mention health insurance and car insurance which I consider legalized extortion. If giving 50% of your salary to the govenment is reason to defect then maybe we should start looking for a nice place to work.
