We're getting ready for another trip - A rather historic one to Jamestown, Yorktown, Mt Vernon, Smithsonian, etc. To reward the kids we're hitting Paramount's King Dominion on the last day. I'm really looking forward to some of the rides including Hypersonic (0-80 in 1.8 seconds). What Theme Parks have you been to and what is your favorite? My list so far - Astroworld Disneyworld Dollywood Silver Dollar City Six Flags - St Louis Six Flags - Dallas Six Flags - Atanta Universal Studios Islands of Adventure Worlds Of Fun Favorite Park Universal Studios Islands of Adventure Favorite Ride Spiderman at Universal Studios Islands of Adventure
Hershey Park - The Sweetest Park on Earth Is actually become quite a roller coaster park for a regional theme park.
I have only been to Dallas and Houston. The wife and I plan on going to Fiesta Texas for our five year anniversary. I love theme Parks. My wife went to Cedar Point in Ohio a few years ago (http://www.cedarpoint.com/) and claimed she would never go to Astrowrold again because it sucks so bad in comparasion (but of course she has). Here is a cool Astroworld fan site btw, it has some great old Astroworld photos on it http://www.sixflagshouston.com/
I've been waiting for a reason to go to Ohio so I...I mean we... can do Cedar Point. We usually don't go too far just to do a park, but if we are planning a trip, I check to see if there are any good ones close by.
I love Six Flags Magic Mountain. Along with Cedar Point, it is the best coaster park. I am going with the fam on Saturday. We expect short lines and multiple rides on X
My gf and I went to Seaworld at the beginning of the summer this year. We went on a Wedesday the week before all the kids got out of school. There was practically no one at the park. A few of the rides we rode just let us keep going as much as we wanted to since no one was waiting behind us. One of the best times I've had at a theme park. Feeding the dolphins is really fun too. DisneyWorld Orlando and Astorworld are pretty fun too.
Are you sure? Check out the Top Thrill Dragster, the youngsters will love it.... http://www.cedarpoint.com/public/inside_park/rides/thrill/ttd/photo/index.cfm
Disney World Universal Universal: Islands of Adventure MGM (Orlando) Silver Dollar City Astroworld Favorite Theme Park: Islands of Adventure Favorite Ride: Dueling Snakes (Islands of Adventure)
I've always been a fan of Itchy and Scratchy Land, where nothing could "possibli" go wrong. I mean "possibly" go wrong. Huh, that's the first thing that's gone wrong....
King's Dominion is pretty awesome. It's a little out of the way though. I wonder if the water park part is still open now. I went there a couple of months ago. My favorite Astroworld trip was junior or senior year of high school when it was like a Fort Bend district wide science class trip. No lines...that was great. Fiesta Texas is cool. Haven't been to the 6 Flags Dallas and have been told it's great. Ohhh, Universal Studios Adventure Park in Orlando is a great one day variety alternative on your Disney World vacation.
Been to one, all my life thats Paramounts Kings Island, best ride is Son of Beast hands down, a wooden roller coaster with a loop, come on now, thats awesome
I've been to all the parks in Texas as well as both Univeral Studios and Disney World. I'm a huge coaster fanatic, and while I love Astroworld, I've been itching for years to give some of the big names from out of state a try.
Busch Gardens is the Standard Par Excellance (spelling? ) by which all other theme parks can only strive towards.
Disney World Disney Land PNE (vancouver) Wonderland (Toronto) the only two i remember are the latter...and wonderland takes the cake.
