    The Yao game:

Pass the ball to Yao. Yao looks around for 5 seconds while everyone stands around.

    Yao either:

    a.) shoots or
b.) passes to another player standing on the perimeter.

    Why?

Every "Yao play" should have him down low in the box, a cutter to the hole, a third player on the perimeter, and at least 1 player going for the rebound.

Instead, rarely does a player slash to the hole. Yao's best pass of the night was the Moochie drive. Yao has made similiar passes to J. Hawkins with great success (except he cant finish).

Almost every pass to Yao should have a cutter. Yao can then make an immediate decision to pass to option 1, shoot the jump shot or drive (option 2), or in case of double team - pass for the open outside shot.

Instead we see him holding the ball while everyone stands around for an Around the World Shootout.

    This makes no sense whatsover.

Penetration creates open shots. Movement creates open shots. Penetration and movement creates open shots and easy baskets.

This should be the rule not the exception.

Also, Yao needs to shoot first early in the game. Why?

1.) you make more outside shots when youre not tired
2.) Creates double teams which will benefit other players.

People will not double Yao until he can score on them first. Only then can he create opportunities for other players.

I completly agree. Why not utilize Yao's passing ability more. This would make it easier for Yao to score as well.

Ok, the first time Yao is on NBC and Bill Walton says "Throw it down big man, throw it down", you have to drink a jug of Everclear.

    LOL!

Ok, my contribution. Meet up with 2 friends. Each one claims one of the power-forwards (Taylor, Thomas, Griffin). Every time your player passes the ball out even when open from 15-20 feet, drink.

Mmm. Yea. That would be more of a sobering game than a drinking game, I suppose.

That will be a pretty long wait, since the nba is on abc.
